Yup! You’ll get to see his life there in an upcoming episode. Back in season 1 when he was explaining how he started turning back to wood, he passingly mentioned he was in Phuket! That’s also why the envelope at the prison said the sender was from Phuket!

I kind of don’t ship anyone in the show and I think most of the relationships in the show are pretty unhealthy and built on narratives of love interests being able to change the person they love 😂 which is sad because I love that characters and people can grow and evolve I just hate how SO much of it is “because of romantic love I can change and be better.” I think this is why my favorite growth arc is Regina’s - but I still don’t really ship anyone together in the show. Snow and Charming are okay enough as ships go, and there’s like two other ships in later seasons I won’t spoil that I also could kind of get behind. But mostly I wish no one in this show ever dated 😂

Yes I think they play it again in the hotel room the moment when they decide on Tallahassee! It’s very sweet. It’s only like 4 seconds long so it’s easy to miss! It’s like interjected momentarily into the regular background music before it returns to the regular background music

Hey Audrey it's been a hot minute since I've left the comment (but don't worry I have been watching every episode on the day that they come out). Anyways this episode was so good. Something that really surprised me about it was that if you remember in season 1 when Regina and Emma were fighting to see who would be Shariff it was mentioned that not only was Emma in jail but she also give birth in jail. And to see that this episode brought it back up was so surprising and cool.

august wouldn't have really known emma was pregnant (at the end). i'm pretty sure august got neal to leave her because he could see she was headed down a path that was basically a life of crime and could get worse, and it's important to her "savior-ness" that she be good. i don't think it's because if she stayed with neal she would've been happy and settled and not cared about storybrooke. she still didn't care in the beginning of the series, and henry had to go and find her and bring her there

For me I just was never really drawn to Neal. I don't know maybe it's the child of divorce in me, but I wasn't rooting for them just because they had a kid together and he was her first love. In my opinion as Hook grows, it shows how him an Emma work well together.

First time I watched, I totally was all team hook. But the second time I watched this show, I realized, Neal is definitely better, and I am now disappointed lol.

Emma is my favorite character and Hook is my second favorite. I could see where the show was going with them in this episode. I thought they had a lot of chemistry throughout the series. He is a villain now but you know that he ends up with Emma.

Also the shows have the same creators. That's why he ended up cast (as well as some others, like Belle's actress was a main cast member on LOST too). Though his name on this show is Tiny when his nickname on LOST was Hugo, lol

Personally, I LOVED the ending of LOST. But, I know it was more of an... Emotional/character driven ending. Rather than answering questions. Which is why so many people hated it. But I'm a big cry baby I was a mess pretty much the whole thing lol. I still think it's worth watching.

The way I see Hook at the beginning is he is all Charm and Smarm. He kind of reminds me of something Cordelia Chase said in Angel when talking about changing a guy; she says "You scratch the surface and what do you get? More surface.", but that's all Hook displays at the beginning because at this point all he has is his thirst for revenge. He lost Milah and he doesn't feel anything too deeply. It's not until he starts to really fall for Emma that flashes of his vulnerability show through and you start to see Killian appear and Emma doesn't take him seriously until he starts to show his better qualities. You'll see in various episodes centered on Hook's life that other betrayals and losses have contributed to his surface-only personna, losing Milah was only the latest. He's a lot like Emma in that the more vulnerable parts of himself he keeps hidden and guarded. He doesn't trust and he doesn't get too close. He wants Emma, but at this point that's all he wants. He will learn, eventually. but not before breaking our hearts and making us all extremely angry a few times first and you will probably hate him for the things he does lol

Oh and I love how you commented you didn't like Neal because he looks so scruffy and thats exactly how I felt. I never could get into his character bc he Always looks so bummy to me in every episode lol it's distracting from everything else his character has going on (he actually is a really sweet guy but I said what I said lol). And since you know he's Emma's baby daddy and Capt Guyliner is her future husband, I think its obvious whats to come and I'll say with Neal's appearance vs Hook's devastatingly sexy one..makes it a lot easier to root for a certain one of them to get the girl lol. But this episode does a nice job of showcasing first loves and you probably didn't notice there was a little tune that plays when they have a cute moment (when he first gives her the keychain) and thats "their" little tune that Only plays during their sweet moments and although I'm not a fan of them being endgame, that tune always puts me in the feels (Snow and David have one too). It seems to be a trend in this show that young first loves aren't your true loves. Hint: David isn't Snow's first love either...can't wait for you to see who it is, though you've got a while lol.

If you remember the premise of Pinocchio's whole character from the 1940s animated movie, he is often tempted by temptation and frequently gives in. Thats why the Blue fairy's conditions are that he be truthful and unselfish, because he tends not to be. Thats the premise of his character here as well (well kinda, he tries to do good but its a natural struggle for him). If you remember from last season he lied to Gold about being his son and he admitted to Henry when he started turning back to wood, it was because he hadn't been a good boy in his life. You'll see in various later episodes, some flashbacks, him doing the wrong thing repeatedly, as well as him living his best life in Phuket with the money that Neal gave him to give to Emma.

Gosh I love this show. I remember when I first discovered it (was on Season 4 at the time on cable) and i binged the first 3 seasons so quickly because every episode leaves you with more questions. I’m amazed how you can contain yourself and only watch one at a time! Anyways, You’re spot on about your feelings for Hook. He’s not meant to be a likable character right now. I’d say season 3 is when he starts redeeming himself. Pinnochio stole the money for himself. He’s too selfish for his own good hence his fate. You must have missed the part after the convenience store when Emma pulled the pillowcase out of her shirt revealing she was faking being pregnant. All of your questions get answered, but you’ll have to wait quite a bit. The most popular season 2 episodes in your poll are definitely the ones that start to piece the puzzle together.

I love the actor who plays Hook, and I do think he is gorgeous, but hoooooooooo boy I really do not like Hook. Especially early on. Because he definitely gives off creepy vibes and like he doesn’t really respect women. Bleh. I did like season 7 Hook though 😂😂

Sooo much going on in this episode! It’s crazy, but yeah, Pinocchio couldn’t resist the temptation and stole the money …. And she was fake pregnant in the gas station. So “true blood guy” doesn’t know about the baby, unfortunately… maybe he would have made a different decision
