GLEE S06E05 WATCH PARTY

Clearly its just me, but I fail to see how or why anyone expected Rachel (or anyone from her class) to know or remember the new glee kids from last year. She was in New York in college and prepping for a Broadway show and when she did return to Lima it was to see Finn or support her friends. Honestly she did not owe the kids she never knew anything.

/anyone else getting an error with the link

The next episode is actually one of my favorites. The music is amazing (I’m biased as I love Burt Bacharach) but ya I LOVE the next ep I’m so excited. I think both Rachel and Santana perform two of their best songs in this episode

Liv Heskett

hahah!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

oh shit! hahah! I just talked with Danny about that right now! He gave me the download of the CRAZY sex lines of people sleeping together!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Yea I still feel like Sues insults have become more rude and less funny in general .Jane needs way more solo for sure!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

so... least favorite episode?

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Yea I tend to see it more common on male gay relationships so sure. I could see how the common ground could help. Plus the ones that I know have very SEXY and FIT old male partners. I have also have a weak spot for salt and pepper hair hahah

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

thats a very valid point about woman and how were seen as smart then helpless

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

I love the songs in this episode. The elevator scene will always creep me out though in ways I can’t even describe. Personally, I feel uncomfortable with any significantly older/ significantly younger relationship dynamics. The only thing I like about the character Walter (Harry Hamlin) is that he’s kind of attractive 🤣. I can’t actually remember what episode is next, but if it is which one I think it is, it’s a pretty good one (at least I think so)

This episode was my breaking point. I stopped watching Glee after this episode initially aired. That being said, like mostly every episode since season 5 started, I enjoyed it much more now. Its still not my favorite and I despise JigSue, but I adore the music and some of the other things in it. Also Spencer is my favorite of the newbies. I didn't remember much about any of the other newbies but I remembered that he was my favorite and I think that still holds up.

Sebastian Sawyer

Firstly: the music in the episode was AH. MAY. ZING! Apparently, I have the same emotional triggers that Sue had. Who knew? Secondly: I’m still not ok with Klaine not being together, but like others have said, it could be only a matter of time. Thirdly: The drug Tadalafil that Sue aerosolized and pumped into the “elevator”? That is the generic version of a medication that men with issues down below use. (Trying to tiptoe around it, as I know kids watch your channel). Lastly: I found the Elevator scene a little creepy, but oddly amusing.

Lucario Stormblade007

The Jigsue puppet!! the whole elevator plot was a fever dream 😂😂😂 What's a BIG coincidence is the older guy Kurt is seeing is the same actor who is getting in between a young gay ship on Shameless as well (which Danny is watching) LOL

Gigi

I love the songs and ridiculousness of this episode. I enjoy the whole elevator thing because it's funny to me and the kiss is so good to the music. As for Kurt and Walter the only reason I find i'm more emotionally ok with it is because of Walters personality and how well it meshes with Kurts. They have a ton of commonalities in interests because Kurt loves so much of the old broadway and Hollywood that Walter likes as well. That being said Walter and Kurt are my least favorite romantic pairing point blank, to me it is still incredibly weird with the age gap and I can only see them as friends who are enjoying spending time with each other and bonding I don't to see any physical chemistry between them, just friendly conversations. In a way I think it makes sense because Kurt is heartbroken and lonely but yeah still weird. Another thing I didn't like was sues terms for karophsky as being the pudgy, suicidal, ex-bully as someone who deals with a lot of mental health stuff it feels really wrong to me to hold Dave to those same standards from when he was much younger. he has clearly grown and is in a much better place now and not to mention suicidal should never be thrown around in a character trait kind of way because people are so much more than the mental illnesses they have dealt with. even though sue didn't say that to his face I feel it wasn't a funny jab in the slightest. All that aside I love this episode. I really like kitty and Spencer finally joining the new directions. one of the things I love for this season is how they also set up certain things for later in the season. I wish Jane got more solos but alas.

Wrenretro

I’ve noticed that as well. Jane is the only one to not get a solo moment at sectionals either. 🙄

Selma Jabr

I'm Becky in this ep, XD. They don't even look at each other and have no chemistry but whatevs. There's almost nothing I liked in this episode, I think the previous one was slightly better or at least I enjoyed more songs than in this one. They don't do any justice to that Roxette's song, (but they never have IMO), and didn't like All out of Love, either. Father figure was OKish. You spin me round was pretty good, tho. The Warblers just as Vocal Adrenaline keep up everytime. Kurt's date should be dating Sue, not him. And I'm not feeling the newbies this time. It took me a long time to warm up to S4 kids but this time I feel nothing for them and I feel they're not really showcasting their vocal talents.

Capri Zonica

they said in the previous episode that these are invitationals, not an official competition, so they dont need 12 members yet and the purpose was to introduce the new kids to their competition and team bonding and stuff

Nicole M

I think that age gaps in gay relationships are more normalized. From observation and experience with my gay friends it seems that because they have that commonality of being gay it’s easier to relate to eachother. Whereas straight couples usually find common interest due to their age. Like me and a 50 year old man have way less in common then a 24 year old gay man and a 50 year old gay man would with eachother. Kurt is also not really into current queer culture. He’s into Broadway and Judy garland and old Hollywood. He’s an old soul and im sure he likes having someone to talk to that also enjoys those things and has lived through it. I don’t think it’s a very serious relationship (I don’t think they are having sex) so idk it doesn’t concern me too much. That’s just my observation. But that’s not to say that age gaps in same sex relationships can’t be concerning or problematic.

Liv Heskett

Really? I didn't know that they improvised that!

Heida

This episode is my glee guilty pleasure! It’s definitely out of pocket and the Klaine stuff is making fun of Klaine fans while at the same time being for them. But the songs are really good and it’s hilarious. Ian Brennan wrote the hell out of Sue’s lines! A fun fact: the hallway scene with Klaine after they start walking up until they see the elevator, and the scenes of them eating, trying to get out, and playing heads up, was all improvised by Chris and Darren. Goes to show you how much they deserved that PCA for chemistry last season. 🙄 I’m with you on Kurt’s new relationship. The character of Walter isn’t bad but I hate that they dated. Also the cop has no ties to Sue. His lines about Blaine not ending of with Karosky was the writers making fun of the relationship and doing some (obvious) foreshadowing. From here on out, I really like/love all the episodes except for one.

Selma Jabr

My only real thought on this episode is about your final thoughts about the age gap thing. As a society there seems to be the weird thing of expecting people raised/assigned as female to mature quickly but also infantilizing them once they're adults. By that I mean in their teens they're seen as meant to be more mature and emotionally intelligent than guys but once they're seen as adults they can't make they're on decisions on who they are, who they date or their own bodies. There's obviously cases where age gaps are of course wrong and creepy, I won't deny that. However, if both people with a large age gap met as adults out of their teens and decide to give things a go who are people to judge, especially people who don't personally know the couple?

Jay Johnston

A bit random but is that your real name? If so it's fucking cool!

Heida

JigSue/SueSaw is so bonkers but so funny 😂 And that kiss... DAYUM! I thought they were gonna eat each other up! Also, one of the things I love about Darren's acting is that his face is so expressive. You see it so clearly right after they kiss. The look on his face says "Don't stop!" Btw I love Becky acknowledging that Come What May was a dream and therefore Sue could not have gotten footage of it! About the age difference, to me the gender doesn't matter, when the difference is THAT MUCH I just think it's creepy. I always think of Sarah Paulson, who is 48, while her partner Holland Taylor, is 80. Yeah they look like they're madly in love but to me it's just weird and creepy. Same with a much older man with a younger woman (which we see a lot). Also, regarding the show, while Walter may appear like a cool dude I do think it's a red flag that he lied about his age. I get what you're saying about Kitty Kitty Puss Puss but deep down I think she wanted to join. Rachel just gave her a nudge. In reality I think at least part of the reason they kept Becca is because her and Lea had become very close after Becca's boyfriend died almost a year after Cory. They've been making fun of and insinuating that Madison and Mason (the brother and sister) are in a relationship, so that was definitely on purpose. Kitty literally called them "creepy incest twins" 😂 I love the music in this episode. But I also noticed that Jane (who sang Janelle Monáe) is the only one of the ND who didn't have a solo. I wonder why. Otherwise Rachel and Kurt are already better than Mr. Schue in letting more than one or two person sing. I feel bad for Schue though to have to deal with Vocal Adrenaline, especially the main dude.

Heida

Sue is definitely off her rocker but it’s cool.

Annie Willow

Kitty did relent pretty quickly, lol. But I'll chalk it up to this season being shorter. They have to speed things up a bit to be ready. I'm just happy she's back again. 🥹
