2024-01-09 22:33:05 +0000 UTCi totally get why you liked this more with the new characters. i personally really liked season 4 and 5 (a little more then season 6) and i liked the season 4 newbies. with exception of kitty (cant forget the fact that she gave marley an eating disorder) and i didnt care about ryder that much. but i liked unique, jake, marley. i also like this ones, but we sadly didnt got much with them.

And then that whole funny girl thing was over so many months and then she did the tv show which was also multiple months and now we’re at the beginning of the new school year. So fall of the following year. So let’s say he passed in spring 2013 then we are now in 2015. So twoish years

It was so weird when I first saw it, I thought the writers had just completely lost it, but it was super meta of them to make Sue a Klain shipper. Shipper wars were an unhinged part of the Glee community back in the day (probably still are lol). I actually like Sam and Rachel together, I think it’s a good reintroduction to dating for them both. And it was probably more comfortable for Lea to have an onscreen relationship with a current member of the cast then to introduce someone new.

Mercedes was Sam's only positive relationship he had in high school, so them breaking up would be hard for him. And Rachel lost her great love from high school, so I love that their relationship is like a safe place for them to open up again. Besides Sam isn't fully hypnotized I feel, I feel like honestly Sam was always curious about where things could go with Rachel.

2023-11-03 14:00:26 +0000 UTCI agree, I really like this episode. It's so silly and random but still enjoyable, probably because it's so over the top. Same with Sue. I feel like she's more the Sue we know and love to hate. I also think it's hilarious that she is a secret Klaine shipper. But where did she get all those photos, like the one of Blaine and Kurt's first kiss? That's kinda suss (and creepy). Btw did you notice the "ISIS Awareness Week" in the hallway while Sue is singing? I also agree on Rachel and Sam. I don't like them as a couple, and not just because Sam was hypnotised. But their cover of A Thousand Miles is so good. Am I the only one who didn't really like Vocal Adrenaline's performance? I mean the choreography and the costumes were great but vocally it wasn't anything special and it was kind of too chaotic for me. Fun fact: Sam has now kissed all 6 original New Directions' girls: Quinn, Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Tina and Rachel. And Vocal Adrenaline's leader Clint is played by British singer Max George from the boyband The Wanted.

2023-11-03 11:20:55 +0000 UTCI wasn’t sure if you would like this episode because recently you’ve been saying you’re sick of sue but tbh, this episode (and the next really) is so unhinged it’s still funny even if you don’t like sue. I tried learning to play a thousand miles once and I still can’t get it right 9 times out of 10 😂. I actually kind of like Sam and Rachel together, because it’s a little comforting and it’s nice to see Rachel dating again after Finn, especially with someone she trusts and feels safe with. Plus Sam is just so cute and sweet so actually seeing him in a relationship with someone is nice, boyfriend Sam is my favourite 😂. I know hardly anyone will agree and probably want to see something new which is totally understandable, but I think going back and rewatching it all over again would actually be a good thing because I can remember on so many episodes you’ve missed little one liners and things that you’d probably catch the second time, and there will be little moments that would make sense now but didn’t before because they link to later storylines. Again, this is just a suggestion and i know most people like to see something new.

2023-11-03 11:19:57 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched these two episodes I couldn’t stand them, and I haven’t seen them in forever but on the rewatch I actually really enjoyed this one. I think I still find Sue shipping Kurt and Blaine weird, but the hypnotizing of Sam was funnier this time around, purely due to Jane and Chord being so funny themselves, but the music this episode - and this whole season - is really good, that’s what I mostly remember from this episode. I really do like these new kids, and I wish we got more time with them, because I think they’re all really unique. Also I feel like the Sam and Rachel thing is kinda sweet, I think it’s more of a comfort thing, like after Finn Rachel is kind of seeking that familiarity, and Sam is still not sure about Mercedes so Rachel is safe choice for him too, and I think the theme of this season really is coming home and figuring things out and the Sam/Rachel relationship really represents that

2023-11-03 08:11:22 +0000 UTCYeah, the HL episodes are good. Part 2 is even better! One of my favorite glee things is the writers making fun of themselves. The crazy plots are really fun/more bearable when no one is kidding themselves. Plus Sue’s rant was legendary! Also fun fact; Sue shipping Klaine was added to make fun of RL Klaine shippers at the time. I like Sam and Rachel, but I agree that they aren’t as important as other storylines. This season is the shortest and has a lot to cover and they just aren’t a top priority. I would rather have seen the time they be used for the newbies or maybe Kurt in therapy like he briefly mentioned, something more meaningful in the long run. Also in the short time they were kind of together, they get more duets than Kurt and Mercedes got in the whole show. 😑 Also you’re correct in liking these new characters more. We don’t get much from them, but its smart because the og characters got top priority when it came to storylines, development, and endings. So it is done well in that the season doesn’t feel as rushed as it could be. Also I hate Kurt and that older guy! Completely unnecessary and so easily avoidable! But they make fun of that too. But yeah, I really like this season too! Definitely better than 4! I think I’d people who dislike it should give it another chance through your kind of lens, especially since many people haven’t watched it since it first aired (if they watched it at all), so they might be surprised.

Idk I relate to Rachel I lost an ex bf in highschool and although I never dated any of his close friends I shared a bond with all of them. We all lost someone we cared about young. and it became a safe space cause not a lot of people can relate. So I think this blossoming thing with them is actually super relatable and comforting. And it normalizes kinda just having fun and living your life with the people that mean a lot to you.

Today I tried again and I still don't know what's happening but Becky in that costume during Rock Lobster made me cackle. Oh, and Vocal Adrenaline is great. They've always been great no matter how many times they change their main vocalist. They're always awesome performers.

2023-11-03 04:40:47 +0000 UTCYeah, these 2 episodes are weird, but they are a good weird. I felt the “Samchel” setup is just setting us up for what’s to come, in my opinion. I’m also not a fan of Blaine/Karofsky, nor Kurt/Walter, but I, too, am a Klaine supporter. Sue’s rant at Will was basically speaking what we, as audience members, were thinking about around this time. It was so good! Sam and Rachel turning “A Thousand Miles” into a Duet, musical genius! By far, one of my favorite duets this season.

I agree that season six feels much more glee than the way they introduced the other new directions in season 4. The new kids are great and I love that kitty still sticks around. I'm a big fan of Klaine myself so I find sue shipping them so good, also stupid vendetta because of a fork being what reignites the feud with will. On the samchel front, I don't mind them, I see why you don't see a need for them but the main reason I like them is that sam is what pushes Rachel to get back into dating after closing herself off since Finn. I think it's really important to see Rachel move on and continue living in that aspect. Finally, Sues rant against will is one of my favorite things because it call out the writing and wills behavior. such good songs too!
