Lea took that home with her after her final day on set there was a pic she posted of her carrying it. I believe that Lea and Cory were soulmates and his passing changed a lot of their lives including his castmates

2023-08-13 23:34:54 +0000 UTCGlee should have ended in Episode 13 of this season, They could have made the episodes longer, with songs sung by everyone including the Newbies. Unfortunately Santana is very correct when she says that Rachel doesn't care about ND, because she really doesn't know the name of the 5 new members, and not having done any scenes with them in 2 years, was one of the points that made Rachel's fan base of not welcoming these characters. Because we saw that all the old cast interacted with the new one, including singing. Marley was the person who most supported Finn with his teaching career. It's a shame, that this cast was tied to finn's story, and they were simply discarded. What was said at the time is that Lea did not want to share the spotlight, and that I believe must be real. Glee should have ended at season 5 ep 13, even though the songs have always been the highlight for me, the storyline from episode 14 onwards, and season 6 are hard to watch and the stories are weird, mainly because it disappears with part of the new cast and still make fun of it (the girl with the fat mom, the guy with dyslexia...). Marley was one of the best characters on glee! Well, anyway, I hope you like what comes from episode 14 onwards, but the perfect ending is episode 13, season 5.

2023-08-13 23:32:36 +0000 UTCOh I thought of something else (oops) - I agree, Mark does have a lovely voice, Keep Holding on is one of his best imo, along with No surrender from The Quarterback episode. I find that majority of glee fans get very offended if anyone says mark had a nice voice considering everything. I believe in being able to separate the art from the artist, to a degree. If an actor is playing a character and they do something bad, that doesn’t make the character bad. The character is made up by the writers, not the actor. Obviously, I don’t like or agree with anything he or anyone else has done like that, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a nice voice and I find myself unable to share that opinion in most places. I’ve actually said everything I thought of now 🤣

2023-08-13 21:15:58 +0000 UTCI LOVE THIS EPISODE! Mainly just because I much prefer the OG cast and we see them again. I also love the next one so can’t wait for that. I like seeing some of the old couples reunited. I started watching the watch parties on YouTube because I stumbled across your channel for glee reactions one day and ended up on the watch parties. I quickly grew to enjoy them as they felt like I was watching with friends. I’ve never really been good with making/keeping friends so it was so comforting to watch with you and laugh or even cry with you. Although there’s no actual communication between us and you during the watch, it feels like there is bc you actually talk to us like people. I can’t talk to my mum about my problems for many reasons (I’d rather not mention here) and we’re just not close so I love your little chats at the end where you discuss the topics, it feels very motherly and it’s so healing. When you first stopped uploading watch parties to YouTube I was upset because I wasn’t able to join patreon, but once I could I never looked back. The glee reactions are my favourite thing I look forward to Friday mornings all week. Best money I spend. I’ve watched glee maybe a dozen times because it’s so nice to revisit season 1 and see how much they all change, and it keeps the characters alive for me. I struggle with a lot of things in my life, but when I’m watching your watch parties or listening to your little chats, I can escape them for a while. I started cycling during watch parties though sometimes I use the time to organise, or crochet, or interact with one of my (many) pets. Thank you so much for uploading these watch parties for us, I’ll definitely miss glee when it ends! - sorry this is really long I just kept remembering more things you’d mentioned I wanted to comment on 😂.

You can see the list of the songs here: https://www.thewrap.com/glee/. Really great tangent from you on different musical styles and I absolutely agree with you. Not everything has to be a competition. It's just about what people prefer. You can also like all of them for different reasons. I like Rachel's version because she can belt like crazy and she has that classical Broadway style that I'm most used to with this song. I like Mercedes's version because she brings soul, originality and those runs. And I like Kurt's version because he has such a soft, calming voice and brings a different kind of originality. I agree that the heartfelt and emotional performances like Keep Holding On are the heart of Glee. And, despite everything, there's no denying Mark really had a beautiful voice. They all sounded amazing in Defying Gravity and it's wild to hear the difference in Rachel and Kurt's voice from S1. The S2 version of Toxic is kinda my guilty pleasure but this version is just perfect. And Valerie amazing as always, love seeing Mike and "Just Jake" dancing together. Both Raise Your Glass and Happy were amazing, Kristin fabulous as always and Gwyneth & Darren sound great together. Also so funny to watch all of them dancing in the background. But I just noticed something very creepy in the Happy performance. There is a moment where Puck and Sam are dancing and Puck looks like he's putting his tie around his neck (@42:58 in your video). Considering how Mark died that gives me the chills. I don't remember when Rachel and Mercedes last communicated on the show (they were both in The Quarterback but didn't really have scenes together) but I don't remember there being any hostility between them. That's why this whole thing with them felt like it came out of nowhere. It felt a bit rushed how they made up but the bathroom scene was so well done. I remember I was also confused how in the diva-off they showed way less of Kurt than Rachel and Mercedes, but the competition was really between them and not Kurt. Why I don't know. I love the Brittana scenes and that kiss is definitely up there as their best kiss. But the way Santana is treating Rachel annoys me so much. I'm in no way saying that Rachel is innocent, but the prom queen thing was totally uncalled for. Bringing Quinn into this ridiculous feud and also ruining a beautiful Finchel memory was so cruel. It's so obvious now why the writers did this. What's interesting is that Puck seems more mature than Quinn right now (yeah he pushed someone in a dumpster but the jerk deserved it). Everyone talks about how much Quinn has grown but she really hasn't. She's still putting on this "good Christian girl" persona just like she did in HS and chasing after status rather than real love. The healthy thing would for be for her to work on herself, learn to love herself and not be ashamed of the past. Then maybe she and Puck can be together. I do like them together and Puck is right, he IS the only guy she has always been honest with. Next episode is even better but be prepared for one particularly emotional performance and the ending!

Quinn is in NY and Puck, who has no redeemable qualities, is starting whatever school or academy somewhere else. How come they're gonna stay in Lime? What does that even mean? Hate them together. I prefer Quinn still figuring out her life with other people. I gotta say Still holding on was Puck's best song ever. I love Brittana but it's sad how underwritten they are at this point. I hate what they'll do to the newbies :( (Edit: Also hate what they'll do to Santana)

I’ve watched Glee ‘start to finish’ a few times and only vaguely remember my reaction to specific episodes. But I do remember always thinking there was really nothing else quite like it out there…no matter the silly story or hilarious cat fights. I still feel that way. Music is such an intimate thread to our memories, good and bad. At its best this show manages to just kill me with the music!

I’m now 100% caught up with Glee but also have watched so many other reactions as well! I remember the big plot points but overall, it’s fuzzy. Congrats on 100 episodes! While I do want you to continue with Glee project, I do want some other shows to become the main focus: Buffy, heartstopper, etc…I just love your reactions that I’m now finding myself saying “What Would Audrey Think?” Thank you for 100 eps and here’s to many many more as your patron! ❤️❤️

2023-08-12 01:19:08 +0000 UTCI love love love this episode. I don’t care that it took the Glee Club being shut down to get the OGs back because THEY ARE BACK BABY! And I actually live for the drama of all the cattiness. It’s better than all the cheating and love triangles (or love octagons) that they were doing in high school and not to mention I think it’s hilarious. We also have to remember that they are all still only 19-20, they still have tons of maturing to do yet. Rachel, Kurt, Santana and Mercedes are very dramatic to begin with so of course they are going to take every situation to the extreme. They LIVE for the drama! I am not a dramatic person at all, so I will just sit back with Brittany and eat my popcorn watching it all unfold. And occasionally throw out a “Stop the violence.” 🧍♀️

2023-08-11 23:50:04 +0000 UTCI loved your thoughts on this episode Audrey, and rewatching it again made me so happy - I feel like it brought me back to the original heart of Glee like you said. I think my thoughts on Puck and Quinn aren’t super popular but I think they’re sweet together, especially at this point in the show. Puck has really worked hard to become the best version of himself, and I think at this point Quinn is on her way there. They just have so much history and he’s right that she really only showed all of herself to him (all the messy and bitchy and sad parts) and he loved her anyway, they still have some growing up to do but I think the way they communicate is the best either of them have in a relationship, so hopefully they learn together and they become a good pair. I think you’re so right about Rachel and Mercedes, but I think both of them are so all or nothing (Rachel more so) and both feeling this insecurity leftover from high school (Rachel from feeling like the nerd who didn’t deserve Finn and got torn down by Quinn and Santana, and Mercedes from always having to watch Rachel get what Mercedes wanted), and they both definitely have a lot of growing up to do, but I do think Mercedes more than Santana has this capacity to show kindness and accept Rachel’s talent but when Rachel does the competitive thing she ends up rising up to meet her. As for Santana and Brittany, Santana is in a really tough place with Dani and Britt, and I do think she needs space to figure it out, but I can imagine Brittany is just feeling woken up like she said and she wants to keep feeling that. I just think she needs to let Santana figure it out with no pressure, and they do both need to figure out how and if they stay together long distance.

If you’re interested, YT has the solo versions of this DG. Do you can can break those down even more if you’ll like. Just search s5 Defying Gravity solos. They should come up. But they’re only on YT. Also, something that fans have noticed about the DG voting. They tied even though there was 11 people in that scene that voted. We like to think that Blaine voted for Kurt, which made Rachel and Mercedes tie. For what you said about cat fights, we don’t see a lot of them going forward, and you now know that the Santana and Rachel fight gets wrapped up next episode, which is great. Rachel wasn’t exactly a model citizen during the feud, but Santana took it too far. They also brought back a lot of numbers because fans got to vote on which songs were brought back, as a celebration of it being the 100th episode. I think I can speak for the entire fandom in saying that this was an improvement on Toxic. That’s a fun video idea. You break down and compare each song that glee has done more than once. Like DG, Teenage Dream, DSB, etc. We all have opinions on which versions are better.

I'm always so happy when I see you uploaded a reaction and when I see it's to a movie I like, I leave everything I did and watch it😂 You're honestly my favorite reactor and I'm so happy I discovered you. You're like the funny awesome aunt I never had. So yea, thank you for all your work (and a huge thank you to your editor on doing awesome work on all the reactions and getting them up in time... i mean except on this episode😄) Now to the episode, they did such a good job on this one and the next one imo. Sure there are some things kinda unnecessary, like the feud between Rachel and Mercedes but I think they just wanted to give a lil nod to old episodes where everyone feuded with everyone😂 I so love Keep Holding On, both cover versions. They also did the choreo the same as in season 1, I forgot about it and it made me teary eyed. Toxic is so good, god the Unholy Trinity is next to Brittana the best glee ever did🔥 (speaking of Brittana, you asking if it is mentally good for both of them to get back together... i don't know but it was mentally awesome for me seeing them together again, sooo... :D) In regards to Santans "rant" and you saying wtf to the writers... Santana has always been like this. Back in season 3 with Finn and Rory in the hallway, her telling Rachel that Finn in fact slept with Santana. She always was a bitch in this regard. Harsh, bitchy but honest. I do agree with Defying Gravity on that last note. There are around 4 covers of Glee out there and this is my least favorite, the last note just sounds weird. I so wanted them to give it to Kurt and him finally having his moment with that song... oh well. Anyway, cannot wait for next episode as I just KNOW I will cry in some scenes.😅

2023-08-11 13:25:03 +0000 UTCIn “Fondue for Two” when Brittany references the rumor that Mercedes is actually a good dancer but hid the fact so she could just park and bark, it’s actually a nod to the fact that Amber had just won Dancing with the Stars in real life. Gosh I remember how proud I was! There is actually a released song that was cut from either this episode or the next, April and Will singing “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” It was supposed to be a scene with the sophomore characters. I am so curious what the scene was, and how/where it fit in, because they really didn’t have much to do in this episode.
