I don’t think I saw this video before but a couple of things about the Beyonce performance- They were actually in Compton. The Williams sisters are from Compton and that tennis court is where Serena and Venus used to play if I’m not mistaken. Also the outfits are all designed by Ivy Park, which is Beyoncé’s collaboration with Adidas. I haven’t seen this performance in so long but loved it! Great reaction!

2023-07-11 12:58:54 +0000 UTCSo some stuff on the Pitch Perfect crew Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose): nothing was officially confirmed but there were rumors she wasn't involved with Love On Top because her recording contract wouldn't let her Hanna Mae Lee (Lilly/the one that's really quiet and says creepy stuff): she can actually beat box, it was really important to the people involved in making the movie to get people who can actually do this stuff. She also owns a fashion line called Hanamahn. Hailee Steinfeld (Emily/Flashlight girl): she was 17 in the first movie and 23 in the Love On Top recording. I was a little surprised to see her in this when we didn't see Ester but I do believe Hailee's recording contract is with the same studio that Universal uses. She's been in a lot of stuff since Pitch Perfect and is usually not seen at the get togethers cause of that. She was also nominated for an Oscar at 14 and was in a category with both Amy Adams and Helena Bonham Carter. Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy): shes lost a lot more weight since this recording. Doctors kept telling her she couldn't get pregnant because of her weight and so she lost it just to find out she still couldn't have a baby. Her and her girlfriend introduced a baby via surrogate and more recently she proposed to her now fiancee at Disneyland. She also created a dating app called Fluid Kelly Jakle (Jessica/one of the quiet mixed up ones): Kelly actually was the only one of the Bellas that didn't need to be introduced to how acapella works. She was part of a acapella group in university, the SoCal VoCals Edit to add Christie Fit (Flo/person who also says weird shit but isn't quiet): apparently what drew her in to want to play Flo was the fact that the character embraced the notion of death so much, that she basically had the thought process of "I've lived much longer than I expected so I'm going to make every second count"

The song doesn't normally start like this, this is what she did for her performance broadcasted at the Oscar's! Her live performances in general, are always a feast for the eyes and the ears - aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful and powerful! It would be cool down the road for you to visit her and do a vocal evolution/breakdown like you're doing now for T Swift. There's so much material to pull from and she has always been outstanding.
