Fun fact that Jane Espenson, who is a writer on this episode (and many others) of UOAT, was also a main writer on the later seasons of Buffy! 🥰

I think when people told you to look for the title card, they meant the part in the show when they show title 'Once upon...' is shown not the actual title of the episode. The episode title sure is a clue about what's to happen as it is in every tv show, but the background in the title card changes for every episode and shows hints about the theme of the episode. Like in this episode it was a rider with a torch, i think. And last one was was a wolf and the one before that was a dragon...

Ursula technically isn’t an octopus cause in the original movie she only has 6 tentacles (they didn’t have time to animate 8) she’s actually a Cecaelia

Rumple🧌was such a fool but a good man. The power💥he inherits entirely corrupts🫣him. I understand🤔wanting to destroy🗡️all of those bad men, but he has now corrupted his son🧑🏻(the same person he was trying to protect) by killing🗡️them in front of him.🧑🏻 And he can’t stop🛑and think🤔💭about it because he is different now. He has learned🧐over time to manipulate every situation to get his way, he🧌knew what he was doing🤲🏼where Emma👩🏼was concerned.👈🏼The enemy of my enemy is my friend.👈🏼The phrase🗣️you’re referencing. And it’s ironic.⌚️It’s hard🤔to hate😠any of the characters but their actions, sometimes make it hard to see👀them redeemed. There’s never just the one☝🏼choice in any situation. Your true desires🤍❤️💔♥️🖤will be revealed at some point.☝🏼
It’s funny😆that you mention,🍊OITNB⚫️ because that is based on a true story.📙It’s a good show (definitely hard to watch) and it does drag🤲🏼at certain points.☝🏼They are telling🗣️so many of the women’s backstories,📚so there are all of the details.📑What happens is truly devastating.😔It is a good show🎬to learn🧐from about the prison🏢system in the US for women,👈🏼it’s horrible.😣Great watch party. 👀🎉✌🏼

This episode was so good. You learned so much about Rumple and there is still so much to come. Also I noticed that you should pay attention to the opening scene that has the title of the show with Forest background because it also gives a clue to what the episode is about. For example last episode there was a shadow of a wolf to represent the wolve with the black and red eyes. This episode it showed the shadow of the dark one.

You're both right and wrong when it comes to Rumple. He is a great planner, but you're wrong in thinking Emma didn't already have what he needed or wanted, he doesn't need to build her up, but he does need her to have something she doesn't yet possess.
There's a site I read where it breaks down every episode, I won't tell you to read it because it's filled with spoilers, but there's one section called Magnificent Bastard and Rumple gets the honor most weeks
As the story progresses you'll come to understand how Rumple knows what he knows and you'll see his fingerprints all over the place lol
Take the first episode and the Cinerella episode from a few weeks ago.
In the first one Rumple demands to know what Charming and Snow are going to name the baby because he needs it for...here I'm just going to say purposes.
With Cinderella he told her he would get her baby 'no matter how long it takes' he knew the curse was coming and he knew Cinderella would still be pregnant when it hit, which meant he knew she wouldn't have the baby until the savior arrived.
He then used the contract with Cinderella/Ashley to manuever Emma into owing him a favour, essentially transferring Cinderella's coontract to Emma just with different terms.
You weave those threads together and you start to understand that the characters are all moving pieces to him, and he manipulates them into the right positions so he can get what he wants

Ok so, first; I do think he planned everything. He is way too smart to leave so obvious evidence so that Emma could find him guilty so easy. Second: I think that with the fire, he took the best chances he got. Saying that you could asume, that someone as Regina doesnt necesarily has the physical capacity to easy get out of ti, but Emma has had background in some physical activities that might give her a better chance in this type of situation. So the fact that Regina got acctually hurt might have not been in his original plan, but at the end it worked out better. He just wanted Emma to take the lead in the saving of both of their lifes. So that is that. And third; I love your videos (:

Regina isn't always likable, but, she (and her story) might be the one I enjoyed most overall. She was probably my favorite character, lol.

This show definitely has a gift for making you have complicated feelings about characters, lol. I think I went through that with pretty much every character at one point or another. I love how they took characters from the original stories who were pretty much black and white, good versus evil and added grey area. The sympathetic villains. Not all are born into evil or raised that way. Some are just desperate souls.

Yay! I was waiting for a new reaction :)
I think the turn of phrase you were looking for was "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
I love that you are starting to see THE strongest side of OUaT which is the humanization of their villains. One of the shows biggest mottos is that "evil isn't born, it's made" and you get to see how those characters became what they became - sometimes through one episode, sometimes through multiple but one thing is certain, the more their backgrounds are explored the more heartbreaking their story becomes and the more attached to the villains you become (the villains of the show are easily the most popular characters amongst the fandom). Rumple and Regina are the ones that are the most explored, obviously since they are main characters.
Regina is, to this day, my favorite tv character. As for Rumple, I was never that emotionally attached to him but facts are facts - he was always one of the most interesting characters and the show could not exist without him.
Thank you so much for your reactions. I have been meaning to rewatch the show but doing it, in a way, with company, makes it that much more enjoyable.

I don't think it would've mattered if Regina got hurt or not. Emma still would've seen the wool and smelled the sheep fat (or whatever it was that made the wool more flammable) when Rumpel was in his office. That would've caused her to out him anyways leading to people voting for her because she stood up to him.
