This Kurt performance proves that the vocal directors didn’t use his voice to the best of its ability. (That can be said for most of the cast tbh.) People make fun of his voice and hate on it a lot, but I get the feeling that most of that hate is surpassed anger from being challenged by a man with a high voice. 🤷🏼♀️ Like it or not, Chris can SING! He hits notes that most only hit in their dreams. With the mouth thing, I’ve always thought it was because Chris was self conscious about his teeth/smile, so in the public eye, he would cover it up. But to my amateur ears, it never sounded closed or tense leading me to believe that he did it more correct in the studio. Plus he didn’t do it during the glee live shows. Makes you think.

Especially the live performance of "The Ballad of Jane Doe", "The Uranium Suite" and "Space Age Bachelor Man". This musical is very different and strange, but it has a surprisingly good cast recording for it being Off-Broadway.

2023-02-15 07:08:12 +0000 UTCHaha, the judges aren’t really there to judge the singing (other than Robin Thicke and Nicole), they’re mostly there to make jokes and try to guess who the singer is. They’re exaggerating a bit definitely, but also that’s the first episode and they’re having to sit through a lot of bad celebrity singers along with the good ones do it might also just be relief of getting a good one to listen to. XD

2023-02-13 18:11:21 +0000 UTCahh man you should definitely watch more of twenty one pilots. i did show you an older video, tyler has definitely evolved a lot. his singing got so much better and they actually had a full band during the last two tours. not for the whole show though. and also tyler has long lungs (like actually!) which makes it easier for him to sing and rap a lot on stage. tyler also did some solo performances where he recreated a couple of his songs. oh and just last year they did mtv unplugged which was also extremely good and it's also up on youtube. i know you don't have the time, so i will probably ask for another song for the new month :) and they are all over the place when it comes to genre. there's actually a rather recent video where tyler got asked what type of music they're playing and he literally said he doesn't know because it's hard to explain. anyway. thanks for watching the video! :)
