2024-09-23 00:16:00 +0000 UTCTotally fair :) Only a few have Darren - the Harry Potter musicals, but their other shows are just amazing, especially their most recent ones (Twisted, The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals and Black Friday are some of my favourites, but Starship although much older also has a special place in my heart!) so I’d really recommend watching those even if you do only get back into Starkid for Darren

I forgot she was in this. Also, Kate Hudson is just..... Yeah 💙 and ugh baby brother Puck is a fun twist. I think? Lol I'm just really glad that these characters don't just feel like recycled versions of the seniors that left.

I love Kate Hudson and I love Cassandra July as a character, challenging Rachel and making her wonderfully uncomfortable. Really looking forward to seeing more of Unique, Marley, Jake and Kitty as well!

But the relationships grown this season were spectacular. SOME things just hit wrong every single time. Like Tina not being the lead even though Rachel told her it was her turn. I'll never get over that LOL.

It tackles some serious issues in there, plus there are some really fun musical pieces(I hate using the word “Numbers”, it doesn’t feel right to me). I can’t wait to see Audrey react to the Stephen Sondheim song in episode 14! Jayma did it in one take, bless her heart! Even Chris Colfer was like, “Girl, what did they put in your coffee that morning?!”

2022-12-24 20:46:48 +0000 UTCSeason 4 is the best season of the series. The glee club group is made up of people who are genuinely interested in each other and in music, without Rachel's selfishness. People don't like this season, because their favorite characters are formed, but the central idea of the series is a group of high school students who participate in the glee club. The NY parts for me are the weak point of the series. Marley and Blaine top Lima with the most screen time. Of course, there are flaws in the plot of the new characters, as it is noticeable that the author has been changing the focus because of the haters, who prefer a selfish character. Marley (Melissa Benoist) is a sweet and insecure character like most high school girls, but for taking on the main role of the glee club in a way, rachel's fans treated the character like she shouldn't. Melissa has one of the best voices on the show and is a breath of fresh air on the show. Worst season ever is season 6

Melissa Benoist is so talented, and one of my favorite clips of her is when she starred in the Carol King musical. I'm pretty sure I went through and watched them all later, but, I don't remember much after season 3. So some stuff will probably be new to me, lol. I mostly only remember how the series ends.

The entire season never fails with it's music and there's even 2 live songs this season which is the first time a full song will be live (there have been live ones before, but never full album songs).

There are just too many infuriating/upsetting storylines for me to be able to enjoy a lot of the episodes, but this opener was decent! My favorite Season 4 newbie is Jake, but that's really off the strength of Jacob Artist as a singer/dancer alone lol

I kinda grew to like Kitty and Jake (as individual characters, not as a couple) later in the season, but that's about it. I think part of why I couldn't get on board with Marley was because of the Tina of it all. Everything at the end of Season 3 indicated Tina would be centered more in the next season. They did feature Jenna a little more, but not what she deserved and now there was focus on the newbies. One of my absolute favorite moments in the entire series is when Kurt shows up in NYC to be with Rachel and give his dreams another try. Their friendship is my second favorite relationship on the show outside of Rachel and Finn. The only time that soured is when they had the requisite once-a-season "knock Rachel down a peg" episode and they normally used Kurt to do it. It always felt contrived when it happened, but then you could tell the writers by this time had lost a lot of their steam. Ryan originally wanted to do a New York spinoff with Lea, Cory and Chris, which would have been far preferable to what they did, but rumor was Chris didn't want to relocate. LOVE Kate Hudson on the show. The media tried their best to create some rivalry with her and Lea, but it was never the case and they got to be friends. In fact, when Cory passed away and the paps were hounding Lea, Kate gave her refuge in her home for weeks. Neeeeeeever liked Brody. We knew they were going to pair Rachel up with someone else and we were prepared for that. Ryan said something in an interview at the time about it being unrealistic that Rachel would have only one serious relationship before settling down with Finn. Whatever. There was a whole heck of a lot of unrealistic stuff in this show, but fine. I just think they could have come up with someone a little more palatable - Brody was just flat out smarmy. Dean Geyer (the actor who played him), though, was a sweetheart from what I understand. Btw, I'm pretty sure Glee 10 Anos has the solo version of Lea singing New York State Of Mind and it's fantastic.

As others have mentioned, Marley is also played by the same actress who played Supergirl in the episode of The Flash you reacted to long ago. Love how they introduce her character in this premiere!

So much chaos going on and Danny is hilarious, he should watch some Glee episodes with you again. I know he'd be totally lost with the story, but he was great during season 1 and you two are so fun together. Maybe think about it. 😊 As for the episode, it's great imo. I'm one of the people who LOVES season 4, it's my favourite season actually. It does have a very different vibe right from the start, as you've noticed from episode 1, but you'll get used to it quickly. I think the loss of many key characters and the big vibe change is what throws some viewers off this season, and I get that, but if you watch with an open mind I think you'll love it. 🤞 And the actress who played Marley is called Melissa Benoist, she wasn't from the Glee talent show or anything. She was unknown at this point. But from Glee she went on to star in the great show Supergirl and to star in the Carole King musical on Broadway. 🙂 Oh and Rachel isn't wearing her wedding ring because her and Finn didn't get married. If you remember the ending of season 3, Finn tricked her. She thought they were driving to the wedding but instead he took her to the train station and basically broke up with her. Although she's kind of still in denial about it all at this point. But yeah, Rachel isn't doing anything wrong by flirting with Brody. And wait until you hear him sing, he's amazing. I did love these two together. 💕💕

I like how they had him have the exact same exit from the auditorium that Puck had in the pilot. Kitty is like the love child of Quinn and Santana, and Unique really is the love child of Mercedes and Kurt, lol. Just makes me feel the loss of the graduating seniors that much more. I remember being gobsmacked by the talent of Kate Hudson. We had no idea how much she would bring to the table, I like the edge that she brings to the character. And I may be in the minority, but I like Dean Geyer (Brody). I got to see and meet him at a fan event and he was really nice. I'm not super fond of his character though

He got known from Australian idol in early 00s then did a soap opera in Australia called Neighbours then went to this which was pretty big for an Aussie actor. I don't like what they do storyline wise tbh but hey s4-6 are the seasons I forget about the most.
