GLEE S03E21 WATCH PARTY

Comments

the fact that quinn kept rising up santana when they won and she was supposed to be barely walking and stuff😂😂

Raisa Raucea

Does it make me more out of touch with American music, or more of a Pentaholic that I consider Starships a Pentatonix song?

Lucile Byrd

aw thats so sweet

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" may be the best performance of the entire show. I cry every time I rewatch Glee and get to it. Not because it's sad, just because I'm so PROUD. 🤣😭

Tyler Asberry

oops! haha

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

Starships is an absolute banger but it's Nicki Manaj not Ke$ha haha

Peyton Johnson

And the lyrics that they sing are kind of eery too

Sophie R

Meat Loaf who originally sang Paradise By The Dashboard Light played Eddie in Rocky Horror and he had a guest role in the Glee Rocky Horror episode, along with Barry Bostwick who played Brad. Meat Loaf only died last year. Also, Lindsay Lohan had a big movie comeback in a Netflix christmas movie with Chord Overstreet (Sam) called Falling For Christmas.

Heida

it's all coming back is truly spectacular and paradise is insane haha

leslie martin

i kinda hate that brittany wasn't involved in the troubletones number.. like i'm happy quinn and tina got to sing but you telling me they decided to let them sing/perform with them last minute and brittany who has been there since the beginning didn't get one line? it's dumb for the storyline

leslie martin

Yea it did feel very wrapped up. It wouldnt have worked because they need people to crave a solution to a problem so they watch the enxt season

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

The confetti coming from slushie cups still makes me tear up a little. This episode has such a comfy cozy feeling that really is so great. Yay New Directions! I do wonder, though, what it would've been like if the show had ended here. They got their Nationals win, the seniors are moving on, and there's scenes and stage here that feels like they were wrapping up.

Wren Martin

Prepare for the ugly cry.... This 1 gets me every dang time.

LisaMarie_82

Oh me too. I’m prepared to cry the an absolute baby at the next one!

Brittany Miller

The next one makes me cry.

Georgia Beauchemin

*walks into room* says, “roots before branches” *leaves the room to the sounds of uncontrollable crying*

Suzan Horney

Yeah, I was going to mention this as well. I've heard it said once IRL, and it was a slightly older gentleman from Alabama. The way he said it was "More nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs." I think including the "long-tailed" part helps it to make more sense though XD

SparklezPride

Naya's reactions are all so great and in the moment. She was such a gifted actress and comedian for the reactions we got from her

Gemma Rivera

I loved during the performance of Starships when the girls were thrown backward and caught down the risers. Santana sat forward with her hand out like "Wait a minute, wtf did I just see." it was hilarious.

Cory James

"More nervous than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs": If the chairs are rocking, the cat is going to get its tail smashed by the chairs, so the cat is nervous LOL. I love those analogies.

Cory James

I think part of the reason they didn’t is because this was a redemption moment for Finn after the fiasco at Nationals the previous year. He was always one of their weaker vocalists and really rose to the occasion here. As for VA, after Shelby left, they lost their direction. She was the reason they’d won 8 times and without her cutting edge routines that pushed the boundaries, they didn't have their competitive edge anymore.

Mia

Excited for the next episode. I think I fell in love with the series during “you get what u give” that whole scene is glee to me.

some one

i can't believe we are almost finished with season 3 it never fails to make me emotional!! usually when i rewatch i skip a lot of season 4/5 and only really watch episodes that santana has storylines in but i'm gonna stick it out with you because i just love your reactions audrey, thanks for letting us come on your glee journey :))

Jasmine Lambert

Honestly I'm a little jelly about the huge backlog of videos you're just now discovering :D

Cory Stanish

Be prepared for the ugly cry next episode. So good though!!

Shannon Hartman

I've seen this episode SO many times and it never fails to make me ugly-sob! Unique will forever be amazing but I didn't really like Vocal Adrenaline's song selection this time. I did, however, love every song sung by New Direction members this episode! SO many amazing performances from them! I would LOVE to hear you do a reaction/breakdown video of their We Are the Champions performance from this episode!!! Now I'm going to make sure I have tissues before the season finale because I'll need them as much as or more than I needed them in this one! Thanks for another great reaction!

Moscato Debs

Agree with both of your comments! They had come so far by this point since season 1! And I definitely liked Vocal Adrenaline's Bohemian Rhapsody performance so much better than their performance in this episode. Unique will always sound amazing but yeah song choice for this one was not my favorite.

Moscato Debs

This episode will never not make me cry like a baby. It did when I watched it originally and even more so now after losing Cory and Naya. The fact that "We Are the Champions" is the last time the entire Original new Directions sing together as a group will never not get me and make me cry. And the moment now where Santana walks away from Brittany and Quinn after the say "Starting Together, Ending Together. Just as it should be" and she is the first one to walk away and leave the other two and she is now gone. Gets me every single time y'all. I am also in no way emotionally ready for 322 because the tears are so damn real for that one. I think there are only 2 episodes for Glee that I cry harder at and its 503 and 613.

Brittany Miller

i can't wait for the season finale

Rafael Gunji

these is one of my fav. episodes as well. I tear up they have come a long way I love the scene where Santana and Brittney kiss for the first time a real kiss. so sweet.

Linda

I didn't noticing that? lol . and I have watched a million times. OMG>

Linda

I think it’s kinda hilarious that Brittany and Santana have to wear their Cheerio Uniforms because Sue came along for the trip.

Rasha

Watching this episode will always make me tear up, seeing how far they've come from season 1. It's so beautifully done. Unpopular opinion: as much as I like Unique, Vocal Adrenaline's performance here is not my favorite. Song choices were meh. I liked Bohemian Rhapsody so much more.

Anna Varwig

Quite the culmination for Finn also, getting into a god tier performance level overall! He SHINES.

Manfred

This was probably one of the best episodes of all 6 seasons. It’s the end of an era. I still love the next episode as well but this is truly the best. The songs were amazing the relationships Will and Emma and Will and Sue, finchele, the unholy trinity, the trouble tones and the new directions all get there little happy moments. One sad note though. When they sing We Are The Champions the first three solo parts are Finn(Cory), Puke(Mark)and Santana(Naya) sung in the order of their death. Such a strange coincidence. 💔

Aleshia Bernal

Ugh this ep made me so emotional for some reason! This show meant soooo much to me growing up, I can't overstate it. So happy to be re-watching and seeing your reactions!

Tiffany T

This episode is amazing!! Also you did already react to IACBTMN a while ago. The New Directions winning was going to happen no matter what, but I truly believe it was deserved and not just plot armor. Starships is not a great song for a show choir and I don’t like props being used in a number, even if it adds something like the pinball machines did. Seems like a cop-out to me. My only complaint about the NDs performances is that I wish they featured a little more of the seniors in Paradise. But still incredible!

Selma Jabr

How am I JUST finding you?!? I’m so excited to be part of this community now!! ❤️🙏🏼

John Carlson

OOPS HAHAHA!

Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)

I agree. Rumor has it that Ryan Murphy was all set to end the series at 3 seasons, but Fox was like, “No, you can’t end like that”, and renewed them for another season… that season turned into 3 more.

Lucario Stormblade007

She didn’t just call “Starships” a Ke$ha song!!!! That is Nicki Minaj, m’lady.

Lucario Stormblade007

We need the next two episodes ASAP

Cai R

Roots Before Branches? You Get What You Give? Forever Young? While this is certainly more of the penultimate episode, there are some really emotional songs in the next episode because you really felt it was the end of an era.

Mia

You could totally do a comparison between Lea's rendition of It's All Coming Back to Me Now on Glee and the version she posted like 2 years ago.

Mia

Paradise is hands down my favorite competition song in the whole series. And the next episode is amazing with graduation but it’s definitely the end of an era of Glee. Season 4 and beyond the writing gets worse though as a Gleek there are still moments I love throughout. Next season will have some new cast and of course familiar faces but it is definitely a new beast. Get ready.

Christina Brown

3x21/22 honestly feels like the true series finale more than the actual series finale does

fry

the way you were dancing to paradise by the dashboard light was so me😭 you can’t not dance when listening to this performance

fry

This episode is actually better than the last one. The next one is trying to tie some lose ends with each Glee club member and it feels anticlimatic for me, plus, I don't remember any good songs from it.

Capri Zonica

The most wholesome of wholesome.🫠

Annie Willow

Ahh yes the Duggars one of America's most Christian Families Such a wholesome bunch 🤡🤡🤡 They had a show called 19 kids and counting and pride themselves on morals and their religion which turned out to be ironic in recent news.

Jella Jellobean

With the tissues most definitely.

Annie Willow

Damn this one makes me so immensely proud of them all! I just want to give them all the biggest hug ever. Character-wise they’ve come a long way since we first met them as freshmen and sophomores but also the actors themselves. They were all incredibly talented to begin with and they just blossomed as a whole group. I love watching all the background moments because you can see just how great of friends they really are and that they really enjoy working together and just being in each others company.

Annie Willow

Such a good episode. Yes, the rumors are that Lindsay Lohan was an absolute pain to work with. She was late to set the day they filmed their numbers so she absolutely had to be there, and as you can see there were hundreds of people that were held up. I think Dot-Marie Jones (Beiste) tweeted about it, but it was swiftly taken down. I love the little nuances they put in about Chicago that only locals would know (I was born and raised there) the popcorn that Artie was eating in rehearsal is iconic to Chicago called Garrett's popcorn and the lines are usually around the block. The mints that Beiste was eating are called Frango mints and are usually popular gifts around Christmas time. About the episode, this was the ultimate satisfying payoff for us gleeks back in the day. We had no idea who would be staying with the show and who would be moving on. There were a lot of rumors that they were just going to keep it at McKinley and say goodbye to the graduating seniors (Finn, Rachel, Quinn, Santana, Mike, Puck, Kurt, and Mercedes), and even the actors had no idea how the show was going to look moving forward, so all the emotions about saying goodbye are real on their part in the next episode, which is graduation. It was nice to see background moments of them celebrating and having fun after finally winning. Ryan Murphy set it up this way from the beginning. 1st season they won sectionals and lost regionals, 2nd season they tied at sectionals won regionals and lost nationals, and 3rd season they won them all. He said he wanted them to continue the growth needed as they dealt with improvement. This episode had nice background moments from the actors. Naya and Kevin were shown which is nice since they were such good friends in real life, and he just recently shared during Snixxmas that they were never given scenes together (except for one in season 2) because they would always crack up together. Also, if you haven't watched The most recent season of Masked Singer, it's like an ode to glee from Amber. She sang Edge of Glory for the finale and I know it was a subtle nod to her favorite duet partner, Naya. Tongue Tied is an underrated Bop. I love that it featured a rare quartet of Finn, Rachel, Santana and Artie

Gemma Rivera

Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did! 🙂

Sabrina Louis

When Melissa Benoist was cast in Glee as Marley it was all over the news in my hometown in Colorado, because she was from there. My whole class and friends went crazy because someone from our town was going to be on Glee.

Tyler Mckenzie

I need the 3x22 reaction now 😩 but that was great.

Jacob

this was a very good episode!!!!

anthony

This is such a FANTASTIC episode. I've been waiting to see your reaction to this one lol. I wish the episode 22 watch party was out now too lol, that's another amazing one. But yeah everything about this episode was perfect, at the time I was so worried that the years of build up to them winning Nationals would be a let down but it wasn't at all, they couldn't have done a better job with it. I really look forward to watching the next one with you and then going on to season 4, which is my favourite season of the entire show. Exciting times. I don't have any friends so these watch parties mean more to me than you know, thank you. 😊💕
