F1 22 - HDR Optimized Settings

The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game currently has a broken HDR implementation. Even if it actually offers a Peak HDR Brightness slider in numerical values (even if not properly in nits) and can go up to 10.000 nits on paper, the actual game seems fixed to 380 nits max which does seem a "stretched" SDR signal only.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using HGIG:

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you're using HGIG:

Until EA will fix the in-game HDR use Dynamic Tone Mapping for better results.

Agree. However, I have no faith in Codemasters/EA fixing this.

Unfortunately at the moment no matter what you put in there, when you launch the game and actually play it the HDR just isn't working properly and only solutions like Dynamic Tone Mapping will help a bit until EA will properly fix HDR for this game.

I’m not sure how accurate this is for PC. Appreciate the game is broken HDR wise, but it just looks awful and so dark on PC with the nits set to 10 on my AW3423DW.
