Kindred Spirits inks pg 1 and 2

Here’s the final inks for pgs 1 and 2. I don’t know if I’ll keep up the handwritten lettering for the next project but I’ll keep it for this one.

Next update will be Wednesday, focusing on the Verde-Victorian world.

Thank you,

V

Terry, thank you so much! This means a lot coming from you considering all you’ve given to the community. I’m glad you’re enjoying seeing the process. Writing has definitely been a huge challenge as I’m not used to it. Working on each individual character’s motivation, where they are coming from, the different perspectives, and how characters play off each other is something I’m teaching myself as a new tool in the belt.

Thank you! A lesson learned from the 70s tv show, close cropping and brief = a good tease. Also, you can see part of my process is editing at any point in the process. For instance, I changed her ripping her shirt while she masturbates in the car to just pulling it up, because I wanted to show an escalation in the last panels and to avoid redundancy. Hopefully that insight will bring some excitement to watching the process because sometimes you don’t know what I’m throw at ya’ll in each update!

I've been enjoying your takes on the 70s Hulk show (as well as other art, such as the Victorian-verse and the Ranch Hand one-shots), and it's been fun to see your creative process at work. This alternative to Kindred Spirits is a big departure from the original, but I like the spiciness you're going for. It makes sense to me, at least, that there would be people in the world who would act the way Gabrielle is here, especially since she's been experiencing a variation of David's metamorphosis for many years. Finding someone who not only shares that experience but to such an extreme could be exciting and lead to wanting more for herself, too. Looking forward to seeing where you take this story (my vote is a deviation from the original scene in the museum), as well as whatever else you're cooking up.

Terry
