When I lived out west (British Columbia) I had a chance to get close to a certain B list celebrity that took my socks after and gave me a pair of his to wear home. I always thought that was slightly different, nothing compared to this guy...lol.

A little late to the party, but I finally had the chance to listen to this podcast. ***I apologize in advance for the long post: Some of you guys here already know from Discord that I'm a nurse. I've worked both in the medical and psychiatric fields, and I'm currently voluntarily working as a primary COVID19 nurse on a Critical Care unit. I live and work in one of the top 5 infected areas in the US... so if that doesn't give me some credit as to know what I'm talking about, I don't know what does 🤷‍♀️ haha. COVID19 is legit and like nothing we've ever seen before. I've seen the flu hit people hard, but this is definitely different... Influenza is primarily is a respiratory viral infection, whereas Covid is an inflammatory viral infection. COVID19 may affect people primarily with respiratory symptoms (shortness of breath, cough, congestion, etc), gastrointestinal (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc) or may have no symptoms at all. Viruses, by nature, are beautifully simple in design and their purpose is self-limiting... they invade, infect, rinse, and repeat until the host is able to contain/eliminate the invader and begins to heal from the damage. Flu shots aren't a cure, they're an introduction of the strain most likely to invade to help minimize the infection. Coronavirus, the class, isn't new (remember SARS?), but CoVid-19, the strain, is. Our bodies have no idea what it is or how to deal with it, so people's immune systems for those who are infected essentially set their systems on fire trying to kill this new alien invader. What's dangerous, is those who have auto-immune issues, or existing respiratory diseases, because your inflammatory responses go into overdrive and essentially will accidentally shut down lung function or go into multi-organ system failure. However, I have seen equally healthy young-to-middle aged adults with no pre-existing conditions get hit with critical life-threatening symptoms as much as those who had a laundry list of comorbidities. We just never knew until it happened. My job as a nurse, regardless of which virus you're infected with, is to keep you as comfortable as possible and make sure your condition doesn't get worse as the virus runs its course and dies. It's heartbreaking to see someone who was healthy, active, and living life now struggling to breathe, terrified that they're going to die.. and you have to stay calm while intervening so they'll stay calm and not go into full respiratory failure. With all that said, things with CoVid are calming down naturally, and everyone should be out trying to live life... just as long as you're implimenting practical hygienic practices you should have already been doing in the first place (i.e. washing hands, not sneezing/coughing in people's faces, stay home I'd you're sick, etc). No, hydroxychloroquine doesn't do shit... except cause susceptible people to go into kidney and liver failure. That myth came from the first SARS panic a few years ago. Hospitals and doctors are currently playing what I call "trick or treatment", since no one has any idea how to treat this effectively. Currently HCQ hasn't been used in well over a month or two, and patients are being treated with convalescent plasma from patients who've recovered from CoVid. Whether that really works... I'm not convinced on that one either ( the potential is there if the variables are right), but it's better than the former treatment by miles. Things will get better and back to normal... people are just afraid of the unknown, and of course the media makes things sound 100x worse for ratings and underlying political reasons. Getting more hopeless about covid too. I've had an aunt get it and an uncle. Both in their 50s. Actually uncle is an alcoholic and must be at least 60. They felt really shitty for about 8 days were good by 10. This whole thing doesn't make sense. What would they do if it had a 50% mortality rate? Or even 10%. How about just 1%. Its not even a 1% mortality rate and we're living in a fucking apocalypse movie. Either they know something about this virus doing something way worse down the line. Like people's lungs turn necrotic in a couple years or some shitt if you also get whatever next virus China exports to the fucking world. Orrrr it just shows how grossly incapable all the world leaders are at handling criseses. I'm ready to just say fuck it and start LIVING again. We've all been sacrificing, doing our part, wearing masks, but since a selfish few fucks feel triggered by being asked to wear a mask so we all suffer. Or to just stay fucking home when they were supposed to. I had started regaining my faith in humanity, and was feeling more positive than I ever had after I went to this weekend long training program. The next week, we were in lockdown. 6 months later, I don't want to even be classified as human anymore cuz of how God damn ridiculous people are acting. But my god, i am itching to get out of america worse than a tweaker with a case of the crabs
