I love the face from Jace when he got the info that viserys died while his mother is close to giving birth. In just a few hours he could be the number one contender for the throne and you see on his face the fear, the call for his duty but also the will to be strong and to not let his mother down. Rhaenyra prepared him very well for this situation. He shows instant leadership qualities.

He never treats women with true respect though (I mean he killed his first wife) the entire scenes with him were him talking over rhaenyra and interrupting- she was slightly done with him at a point. Aemond was 16/17 at the point of Luke’s death, he was more tormenting him but the most he wanted was an eye. Luke is his nephew after all and it is believed he felt remorse as well as an “oh shit” moment. With the history, he was actually pissed off because one of Baratheons daughter whom he didn’t choose as his bride commented that she wouldn’t want him because he’s not “whole” and that was when Luke arrived. I wish they placed that moment in for understanding of character things and why they do what they do. Knowing Aemond he wouldn’t start a war irrationally, but also he will say he did it on purpose I think as to not be seen as weak and not in control of his dragon. SO excited for S2 it’s crazy

2023-03-20 10:24:44 +0000 UTCalso gotta realize he lost a lot as well, he was on edge the entire episode believing his brother had been murdered, he and rhaenyra lost their child, and to add insult to injury, Rhaenyra was interested in making peace with what he believed to be her fathers' killers, I am not justifying what he did, but there are two sides to every story and Daemon does not know how to keep his emotions in check, we all know this.

2023-03-19 00:56:59 +0000 UTCDragon's feel their riders emotions so Arrax was experiencing Lucerys' fear and Vhagar was experiencing Aemond's anger. Arrax was just trying to keep his rider safe, but unfortunately Vhagar is a literal war machine who has been in several battles and is old with no patience so of course she wasn't going to let that happen. Aemond clearly had no intention of killing Lucerys' but he fucked up when he decided to use Vhagar to taunt him because he got her blood pumping and she was ready to go. Rhaenyra has lost so much in just this episode and it's heartbreaking because that was supposed to be her and Daemon's first baby girl together. Although I was taken back by Daemon choking Rhaenyra, we also can't really be too surrpised. He's shown from ep 1 that he's a wild card and he doesn't process emotions very well and we have to remember that he's lost a lot this episode too and unfortunately that was his way of dealing with it. If it makes you feel any better Matt Smith and Emma D'arcy both said that they were confused by it too but just tried to play it as best they could.

2023-03-18 18:06:26 +0000 UTCU saw Vermax as a baby dragon in ep6 when Jace was training with him. The stillborn baby was Rhaenyra's first girl too i hear, named Visenya. My queen is so strong & even after all the greens did, she still wanted to find a peaceful solution and even considered kneeling to Aegon to keep the realm in peace. I also think Daemon grabbing Rhaenyra was out of character for him, i get he's so angry & frustrated, plus now he realises Visery never thought of him as a true heir, since he never told Daemon about Aegon's prophecy. R.i.p sweet Lucerys such a nervous, respectful, boy who adored his mom, always holding her hand when he's nervous like this ep and ep 8. He was my favourite instantly, with both actors, he was sooo adorable.
