Ight back for more comments lol didn’t finish yesterday- Aegon really walked in like “you guys forced me into this, I’ll become your worst nightmare” Honestly as dumb as it sounds I feel bad for him too. The pressure was on him since he was a kid, and he’s had mental issues I think overall with the responsibility both his parents placed upon him- Viserys didn’t spend the time on him and Allicent though trying kept pressuring him as well, the guy is just broken- don’t think he had a good family dynamic that as stupid as it sounds, told him they loved him. Hats off to the actor, he looks completely mad at that crowning scene. Although Aemond looks badass scary- Aegon looks genuinely crazy and dead inside

They saw a child of Aegon...When the brother asked if it's Aegon's, his response was "one of many I'd wager"....implying not that he brought one of his kids there, but that he has many bastard children that people don't know about.

2023-03-19 11:40:09 +0000 UTCIt's hard for people, especially book readers, to feel bad for Alicent because in the books she is just as bad as Otto, maybe even worse. The show wrote her in a way where people can be more sympathetic to her, but I still see her as a villain. She may not be as bad as her father, but she's a huge hypocrite; if she truly was honor & duty bound to the Realm, there's no way she would think her son would be the better ruler over Rhaenyra. He's a drunk & a rapist, and even HE knows he's not fit to rule. She's using what Viserys said as her excuse, but deep down she can't honestly expect that Viserys would have chosen Aegon II over his beloved daughter. Otto & her swore up and down that if Rhaenyra were to inherit the Iron Throne, death & war would follow & that is what they wanted to avoid. And what do they do? They usurp the rightful heir, and start executing people that kept their oath to Rhaenyra. They're doing everything they claimed Rhaenyra would do - there's no honor in any of it, just hypocrisy & treason.
