GOT S8 E4 Full Episode Reaction!!

Comments

She THINKS she wants to rule. She's lying to herself. She's convinced herself that's what she's trying to do. Just like she convinced herself that only she knows what is good.

Crissi

Totally disagree Crissi. She WANTS to rule. She’s just not very good at it. Conquering yes. Keeping her people happy? A disaster.

Jeremy Garner

The only episode I hate more than this one is "Bowed, Bent, and Broken", when Sansa marries Ramsey. The episode is the fucking worst. Sure, Jon doesn't want to rule....but let's be REALLY HONEST - neither does Dany. She hated ruling in Mereen. And Daario told her it wasn't her thing, that she's actually a conqueror. PS - A fortnight is 2 weeks.

Crissi

but if you bring up how the writers wanted Jon, Tyrion, and all the starks to remain the sympathetic heroes no matter the circumstances ppl will say, "this is game of thrones, not a disney show". Yea, but apparently it is a Disney show for everyone but Daenerys LOL. I just think the ending reeks of misogyny and I stand by it wholeheartedly (I can get into it at a later time, but Lindsay Ellis yt video about the ending covers it very nicely). We couldn't have a strong benevolent queen in Daenerys so they went the "she's too emotional and crazy to rule" route and hamfisted lines to us to try and convince us of what was happening. And to try and make it up to us, they made b****y sansa queen. also I know I give sansa a lot of flack, but its because I actually really liked her character but she too was ruined in the writers' pursuit of this ending.

She finished watching two weeks back.

Do you remember when Tyrion used to be clever once upon a time. He could talk and convince people. And now all he said to Qyburn was I don't want to hear the people crying. I really don't. And the same bullshit he told Cersei about her kids in season 7. It didn't work then so why did he think it will work now? The once intelligent Tyrion is now a guy with stupid battle plans and c*ck jokes. In season 7 episode 6 when Dany and Tyrion was planning their meeting with Cersei for truce to fight in the north. Tyrion told Dany that they will go to Kingslanding with all her armies and dragons. If anything was to happen to her they will burn the Kingslanding down. Why did Tyrion say that then and now he is like I don't want people burning. Wasn't this what he planned in season 7? Tyrion suggesting the best king is the one with best story. Really? That's the qualification? Son of Tywin went damn stupid. And Bran has the best story? How? H.. how how? Season 7 Bran: I cant be lord of anything. I am the badass crow (who by the way did nothing except stare at trees and people and fly around as a crow). Season 8 ep4 Bran: i really don't want it anymore. Season 8 ep6 Bran: why do you think I came all this way? Wha.. what??? So he knew Dany will go mad kill everyone and he will be king all this time and didn't do anything to prevent it? So is he a psychopath? I don't know why Dany didn't want to give time for her soldiers to rest. She was a person who tried giving water to a flayed slave tied up on a post in Astapor. Yes she is restless about iron throne but didn't make sense. In next ep she snaps when she sees red keep. But no she don't want to attack Cersei who killed her child and best friend. Instead she waste time burning Kingslanding. Cersei could have escaped in that time. It would have been better if Dany burned down Cersei first and kill innocents along with it because civilians were also in red keep. That would have made her cruel and made sense for the story too. But no. Dany agreed for independence of Iron islands in season 6 when Yara and Theon came to join her. Same Dany refuses the independence of North? So at the end Bran should be lord of 5 kingdoms correct? Correct me if I'm wrong. As per the books killing a flying dragon is impossible. So I don't know how they did it in this episode but failed in the next episode. Did you notice in episode 5 that only one bolt was fired at drogon at a time meanwhile in this episode all the ships fired their bolts together? Convenience for the story? Dany in the sky didn't see Euron's ship? But Euron saw her? How? The large iron fleet was not seen? Laws of physics doesn't makes sense. If you can see them then they can see you unless you are wearing invisibility cloak. Varys: Dany is too strong for Jon. She will bend him towards her will as she have already done. If he can be bent to someone's will how can he be a good king? Again once upon a time Varys was a clever player of game of thrones. Cersei didn't kill Tyrion because she knows Dany will be pissed and will attack. And the same Cersei executes Missandei. Again once upon a time clever Cersei daughter of Tywin. And last but not the least, the only dialogue Jon have this season. You are muh queen. I dun wun tit. But his plot armour is impressive. Even after killing Dany, unsullieds and dothrakis and drogon just forgave him and put him in prison. What a load of crap. And the Disney ending for Starks. Arya lurking around the world, Bran king of 6 kingdoms, Sansa queen in the north, Jon (son of a Targaryen and Stark. Blood of Valyrian and First Men, someone who is really important) exiled. Catelyn Stark will be so proud 😊

To be fair Jon never lied to Dany or promised her. He said he had to tell his siblings and made no promises to her to keep quiet. Hence her subtle threat and cold eyes at the end of conversation. I get where Danys coming from but its selfish trying to make Jon remain a bastard when he finally knows he isnt and has suffered so much growing up with the bastard title. Id say Dany and Sansa are in the wrong, Jon is trying to keep the peace and have the best of both worlds, unfortunately it isnt that simple when people dont think the same as him.

Also, not sansa betraying neds whole thing about honour to let out the secret he died for in 2.5 seconds 🤭🤭 I know hes rolling in the grave

Nana-Afia

Miya: I think I want some wine to celebrate the ending Me: or to forget 😅
