Stannis wants to get the iron throne. His first step from his current location would be to install someone loyal to him in the North who could support him in the war. The Boltons support Tommen Baratheon because they where named Warden of the North by his brother Joffrey. To take Winterfell he would probably need more men. He tried to get support of some smaller Northern houses, but the mostly refused him like Lyanna Mormont. Jon told him Northerners are mostly loyal to their own. So if Stannis names Jon a Stark he would have a Stark on his side and could probably convince some other Northern houses to support him and Jon. Furthermore if he wins against the Boltons and installs Jon as Warden of the North Jon would have to support Stannis in his war for the Iron throne in return.

His proposal is for Jon to come with him and name him lord of winterfell if they win. I think Jon wanted that approval from his family though. Coming from an outsider, its just not the same. Lord commander snow doesn't sound too bad though. Kinda love it!

2021-10-07 03:04:47 +0000 UTCYes, they are the faceless men. They are “no one”, that is their thing lol. Arya is very willful. She needed to find her own path. As for Dany, it’s hard to say. I think she. shouldn’t have done it publicly. But it’s important for the people of Mereen to understand that she is the queen of all the people. That it is her job to protect the current old masters, even despite the horrible things they did. All you need to remember about Littlefinger is what Varys said “Littlefigner would watch the whole city burn if he could be the king of the ashes”. Still it’s often hard to pinpoint his motives. Rewatching this show with you has been fun. It’s reminded me how much I love Jon. I’m excited for you to get into this season, I think it’s maybe my personal favourite? I’m not sure. I feel like I have more favourite moments than an actual favourite season.
