Purchased RAM sticks
Added 2019-04-23 19:40:56 +0000 UTCA paired set of RAM sticks, total capacity 16 GB.
Total cost was... 73ish USD, so I knocked $70 off the budget counter. Should be here in two days. After this, there's not really anything else I can do without upgrading the motherboard, so it'll be a lot of stockpiling and saving.
Anyway, the new RAM will allow me to edit videos easier (and layer more audio for complex sound effects without having to use Audacity beforehand) and prevent any more goofy computer shenanigans whenever I'm doing too many things at once. Any improvements in performance past that is up in the air, my old RAM sticks are almost 10 years old (and TWO generations out of date) and have survived a PSU failure, so maybe replacing them will make my computer 9427580937x faster, IDK. Will report once I've installed the new sticks.
