2025-09-18 20:46:23 +0000 UTCJust since you remarked on it; a redheaded stepchild refers to a person that is neglected, mistreated, or considered not part of the "real" family, much like the "black sheep of the family". The term is believed to have originated in the United States in the late 19th century, possibly stemming from anti-Irish sentiment. And to make it personal to me I had a cousin who was a redheaded step child. They were the eldest child and got into a lot of trouble as a teenager. Today they are very cool and do a lot of work helping rehabilitate people in prison. Loving your jump scares *snicker*. See you next time.
