ETA: Seeing Jiaying (Sky's mom) was more of a joy because I just love that actress, but her being Sky's mama is also very nice.

2024-11-11 05:20:50 +0000 UTCAh! Seeing Sky's mom in that first scene was such a joy. I know the "future" but not when it happens, so this episode was full of surprises. Helps that I've only seen the show once, years ago, binged in a few months. So much gets forgotten! It feels like Simmons spent a little too long in Hydra for her to come out wanting to eradicate everyone who's different. She already knows there are people out there with powers (remember our beloved Mike??), and she already theorizes it's somehow related to the aliens...but now she just wants to wipe them all out? Too. Much. Hydra. I loved that fake-out shooting. At first, it was like, "NO, May!" Then, "Ohhh it's fake. Colson is not a good actor, apparently." Gordon (no eyes guy) is super cool. When he showed up in that last scene, I screamed. Like, yes, sir...SHOW ME. Super excited to see how these changes affect Sky and the rest of the team. And so glad Mack is okay, but will absolutely miss Tripp. My theory (completely unfounded), is that they had to kill him off, otherwise he would have taken Simmons from Fitz when she inevitably fell for him and his dazzling smile. And as always, your makeup is perfection! Love the little eye swoops ^_^ Can't wait for the next one! (But, also, not to cross tiers... DEEPLY excited for Serenity!)
