I am not immersed in the fandom of AoS like I am with Buffy personally, so I didnt know that people dont think season 1 is good. I watched AoS when it aired and stuck with it until the end but this is my first time re-watching it and I liked season 1 at the time and I liked it rewatching with you. From my experience I remember the show getting a little too convoluted at times in the later seasons for me personally and I kind of like the "mission of the week" style of season 1. Also it feels like the show connects less to the movies as it goes on and becomes it's own thing and I was a big fan of the original premise where the show would tie into the movies and take place in the same connected universe and later on it feels like it totally breaks away. I actually just read a book about the MCU that was really good and they didn't go into too much detail on the TV side other than to say that the people running the movies (IE Kevin Feige and Co) didn't like the TV shows and had nothing to do with them. They seemed to kind of resent them and any cameos from people from the "movie side" happened begrudgingly.
