AND THANK YOU! like its 100% a core memory for me lolol i was like 11 or 12 im pretty sure! and i can STILL see it to this day!

2021-12-03 03:35:10 +0000 UTCOK, can I just say - hair goals??? I love that look on you! This is actually one of my favourite episodes, because it humanises so many characters. We see the younger, more irresponsible versions of Giles and Joyce, and I also really like the look into a younger, even more awkward Snyder. Buffy suddenly needing to be ‘the adult in the room’ was great, and I think it pushed her firmly towards adulthood. Yes, I do ship Joyce and Rupert … a little… but mainly because I ship Giles with literally everyone. I wasn’t expecting you to be so traumatised though, lol! It’s great to see that perspective as well. (And yeah, I’m right there with you on the grossness of W/X and their cheating.)

Most people seem to sort of ship them….I think I was a little more on your side of things, lol. Either way, it was nice to see you here on this thurssss……Tuesday ;p. Looking forward to next week.

The snake CGI was terrible so I couldn't get that scared. We have a lot of snake stories, but I think yours with the frog outweighs them all.

(Buffy and Giles in the teaser, Buffy thinking Angel's asking if she's being careful with Scott, Willow reacting to Cordelia's line "Wanna swap?" and Buffy and Giles in the tag.). That's a little much going to the same well, IMO. Never noticed this before, but W/X are wearing matching Adidas sneakers. (Orange for her, black for him.). Awwww. Yes, that's a Cordy campaign poster in Xander's locker. Forgot to mention this last week, but that Buffy poster which Cordelia insults is a take-off on a famous promo shot of Katie Holmes for "Dawson's Creek", right down to "Buffy Summers" being written in the "Dawson's Creek" font. As Katie was originally cast as Buffy, that's something of an in-joke. Noticing for the first time that when Trick kills the guy so nobody else will eat the candy, there are only about two workers who actually see him do it. Not exactly to get your "beware of the consequences!" message out, dude.

2021-12-02 19:33:27 +0000 UTCThis one is a lot of fun, though I wouldn't rate it as one of my favorites of the season (which are still to come) because of its part in the ongoing Xillow storyline and because of some continuity issues. I have to agree with Jessica that the way "Ripper" is characterized here doesn't really fit with what we know from "The Dark Age", though I can kind of excuse it on the basis that this isn't *really* supposed to be Giles as he was back then so much as present-day Giles reverted to the level of maturity he had back then. Still, the comedy in this one is very strong (Snyder in particular steals the show). I'd go as far as to say I think it's the funniest episode since Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered last season... which, come to think of it, I'd probably rate similarly, as it's another really funny episode that I have some problems with haha. EDIT: Forgot to mention this but that story about the snake and the frog is low-key horrifying. No wonder Darcie's scared of snakes after that!
