I already knew at the age of fourteen that monogamy was not for me and as a teenager I had three friends at the same time. Although there were always monogamous phases in my life, the need to be in an emotional and sexual relationship with several people at the same time was always greater in the end. Many relationships from the past failed because of this.
With Olivier I love completely free: We have sex with whomever and whenever we want, separately or with several people. Nevertheless he is my main partner and the only man I love at the moment.

Sure, there is jealousy in open relationships, too. But we know good strategies to deal with it. Often jealousy is just a mirror of your own insecurity. If I have negative feelings, I first take a moment and observe where the jealousy comes from. If that's not enough, I talk to Olivier about it.

I used to live polyamorously, but that was connected with rules and in turn restricted me, while in the relationship between me and Olivier there are only two simple arrangements: safer sex and honesty. This honesty runs through my whole life. I make no secret of the fact that I love freely. As a sex-positive activist and organizer of the Parallel Universe events it would not be possible to hide it anyway. My family is also relaxed about it: Mom even helps out at my Parallel Universe events on site every now and then and even grandpa and grandma have been to exciting information evenings.
