May 2022 Sketchbook

Also, in terms of updates- I’ve been taking some time to fix up the older Sparks pages, because I really want to run a Kickstarter to print book 1 this year! Mostly this is just editing text, but I also edited a few pages to make character designs more consistent (for ex, this first Vasilis appearance)
I’m lucky that I have a good friend who’s experienced with running kickstarters, so I’ll be getting some help in figuring out how to set it all up! I’ve already found a printer and gotten quotes, so once I have the file ready there won’t be much else left to do- I’ll let you all know well ahead of time once I know what date I’ll be launching it on 🙌 ✨
I’ve been thinking about options for merch etc as well, and I was wondering if trading cards might be something any of you would be interested in? I’ve always loved stickers but personally I avoid buying them because I never end up putting them anywhere/using them, whereas I absolutely love collecting trading cards (I used to collect Pokémon cards hahaha) and I feel like they have more options for display. I thought it could be fun designing cards of the characters and particular scenes/moments etc… I’ve been considering it as an option for a physical item/mail patreon tier, or maybe just as something to include in an online store/add in as a bonus to print orders etc. I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💖
