Sometimes the demand was so high that that the defense ministry devised a plan to medically augment fresh dead bodies and sent them straight away to the men, who were unaware that they were technically committing acts of necrophilia with these cyborgs. Modern technology is awesome.

I use a lot of speedpainting methods and shortcuts. One big thing is first laying down a good greyscale version of the artwork and then continuing with color on several layers set to "overlay" or "multiply". Its a relatively fast way of working and can be done under 3h. Of course this is not comparable to really detailed and meticulous lineart+coloring, its still more like color sketching. But its fast. And I don't get bored. :)
