2025-10-04 15:49:24 +0000 UTCAxomamma was also not a warrior, but none would argue she wasn't important to her people and a very capable goddess in her own right. We don't really know what Osiris did or didn't do; all we've really heard is Set's perspective on things. Still, I do understand Set's resentment, especially after the cheating and the blatant favoritism. No matter what Osiris did, Set was *still* a protector of his people, and their lives would have been much harder if it hadn't been for him. At the very least, without Set, someone else would've had to step up to protect the world from Apep, leaving them with one less god to support them in peacetime. And that's assuming that one god would've been enough to fill the hole left by Set's absence. Also, like Astarte said, pantheons are often family. The same betrayal Set experienced would probably have hurt a lot less if it hadn't been from his own blood.

2025-10-04 11:36:12 +0000 UTCeh not gon lie after hearing set's story i can see where his resentment is coming from.( im surprised he didnt become a titan) i mean fighting every single day for eons. only for the people who you are fighting for to mistreat and neglect you( taking everyday they exist for granted), while simultaneously appreciating and worshipping a person who is essentially a bum.( we know that osiris is actually a bum since instead of defending osiris astarte said “Horus is not his father,” implying that what set said about osiris is true. i dont blame the mortals for venerating osiris, since they dont know how mentally taxing and tough a B&C battle is . a farmer venerating a god of peace for harvest instead of a god of war is fair. since they think the god of peace puts the same amount of effort bringing them rain as the god of war fighting against the titans is for them. but we all know B&C battles are significantly harder. the other gods of the Egyptian pantheon who have fought and experienced B&C battles Favoring osiris over set is crazy, even if set had a sht personality , they shouldnt have favored a bum over him. and than the fact that nephthys slept with osiris ( the reason for all his ills )even if she was intoxicated at the time ( i forgot what made her sleep with osiris . i think it was cause she was drunk but i might be wrong) even i would have took it as the ultimate sign of disrespect no matter why she did it if i was in set's place

Now that the Gods know for sure Beelzebub is around and a threat, plus represents an additional complication for the Incursion system, the choice is very much to use him or to forget that part of the plan...it looks like the 'use' part has been given the go-ahead. And Kronos...it is going to be bad, no civilisation has really gotten to modern levels yet, and robots/automatons would be a pain to defeat at the best of times...Book 3 promises to be a hell of a challenge for the protagonists. All the while they know that should they triumph, they will have to defeat the Lord of Chaos at the end of the journey...
