Poll Results / Chapter release

Hi guys,

So early poll results are in and option 3 is clearly in the lead by a ratio of two to one. I'll thus proceed with releasing four early chapters and suspend billing for November (be warned that Patreon will still charge you if you change your pledge however). 

Many of you suggested that I release the early chapters without pausing the billing feature, and while it does warm my heart, I have to refuse. 

Don't get me wrong, I don't spite on your support. I love money. I love bank accounts and royalties. I love advances and gift cards. I love the sound of baby coins as I play with them. 

But I wouldn't have proposed that alternative if I couldn't afford it. I have a small hoard stashed in a cave and royalties from Kindle/Tapas/Audible so I can afford skipping a month on Patreon. Yeah, it's sad to see that money go and support helps me pay for my bills, awesome artworks and trailers, but I'll survive one month. 

There's also the fact my stats clearly show me that a lot of high-paying patrons are here for advance chapters/benefits rather than supporting me personally, and I have to take that into account. Altering the chapter access number feels like shortchanging people midway and I don't do that.

So, yeah, I'll pause the bill for November and alter the patron tiers then. Consider it an early Christmas gift.

As warned in the previous Kairos poll, we're reaching the end of the second volume and it'll probably conclude in November; I intended to take time off from that story after the second book was done to plan the last entry in the trilogy, so I'll use that respite instead to work on reworking the Underland tier access. See if I can rebuild the backlog, add more content and value etc... We'll see.
