Perfect Run Interlude Poll: Blissful Times or Clowns?
Added 2021-03-08 10:38:53 +0000 UTCChoose the next Past Fragment interlude! Also, I'm 90 percent sure I'll add an extra one (Bloodstream's Last Stand) either at the end of the month or beginning of April. Enjoy.
1) Blissful Times
It's 2018, and it's a good time to run a drug cartel! Follow Ryan, Alchemo, and their army of robot farmers as they follow in Walter White's footsteps. Can they carve out their empire of crime and most importantly, not get high on their own supply? Find out... in Blissful Times!
2) Monaco II: Revenge of the Clowns
The sequel you've all been waiting for! In this epic conclusion of the Monaco Saga, Ryan must achieve a perfect run to save his friends! The difficult is maximum, the enemies deadlier than ever, and there's no room for error! For this. Is. Monaco!

Gotta be honest, Iβve been wondering what will happen after Ryan reaches an age past which he refuses to create a new save point. Will that entire dimension be stuck in a loop along with him until someone finally manages to actually kill him? Unable to move forward past the date at which he dies of old age? If so, thatβs pretty horrifying!! π¨

2021-03-20 06:51:27 +0000 UTCHi commenting here(coz i dont have a royalroad account and patreon post is locked for my tier) to say that in the monaco chapter Ryan realizes he starts over all over again and is immortal but the save point is inherently something that will only make ryan move forward in time and never back. He can go back to the save point but not go further back so he can only move ahead after he saves at whatever instance and he will keep aging. He can redo a run as many times as he wants and can live immortal only in the condition that he leaves a save and does a whole cycle of life and goes back again to repeat. So in time period he is still stuck in that 100-150 years whatever his mutant body lasts him and he is immortal in those years only and not outside of it. And any moment he saves he just advances in age coz he can never go back before it. So if we assume Ryans life to be till year say 2101 after which his body wont last then no matter what he does he wont reach 2102. He can repeat his life infinite number of times till 2101 but thats it. So in a way he is immortal but he is not immortal as well.

2021-03-18 18:43:14 +0000 UTCYep I would skip it. The event would be referenced (including Ryan confessing the big twist), but not shown. Same for the previous polls. I don't want to overwhelm the story with flashbacks, so they're more additional stories for your benefit ;)

2021-03-08 17:52:40 +0000 UTCI wonder why you put a poll since after that cliff hanger everyone is probably eager to see the continuation ;)

2021-03-08 17:36:22 +0000 UTCWould you actually skip the conclusion to Monaco if we voted on the other one? The first Monaco chapter was a masterpiece. Also, would you have skipped the first one if we voted on the Panda story instead? That chapter explained so much about Ryan.
