ehhhh. I think Colin overvalues the 'purity' he's referring to. Not that I don't think he has good takes (he does), but he seems like he's got enough of a backbone/incisive perspective to where he could still formulate his own opinions even if he were to listen to others without being influenced by them. I mean, he hears the other LSM members' opinions all the time and still manages to have his own takes. I think the reality is that he just doesn't really care to spend his time listening to videogame podcasts, which is totally fine. We all gotta choose how we spend our days and all that.

There’s mute, block, and timeline control mechanisms in settings on every social media platform. I don’t see anything with Gaza, Ukraine or AOC anymore. I stopped crying and just made some adjustments. Also, I don’t engage in those conversations anymore. Gotta know who to control yours man. It’s not hard .

I understand Colin’s perspective in avoiding other VG content. It isn’t an insult to the creator, he’s just swatting away the disruptive distractions.

They are putting their efforts into making a very efficient, user friendly, developer friendly OS for the handheld which will also be in their future console. Their plan is the drown people with options like Steam and Epic. While people are browsing, Game Pass will always be prominent in your face. I love Playstation but I can envision a future where they are left out in the cold because cheap, user friendly Console/PC's are proliferated. Colin you always say "Microsoft makes no money", they are clearly ok with losses if they can better position themselves in the future. With consoles getting super expensive the promise of exclusives might not be enough.
