The game's art uses textbook color theory, while the characters may look generic they certainly aren't bland. Games got more color than a crayola box.

It feels like lots of people are just talking contradictions on 90% of their complaints. I've seen/read just one review (Travis IGN) that really took time to understand the gameplay and it's systems but actually provide legitimate game criticism as opposed to "Art Style" ones. I've play nearly 50 hours since the early access and I'm having a great time. That "just one more game" keeps occurring for me. The game is very well balanced, gunplay is kinda Destiny meets COD4. The crew bonus system is unique and adds almost a deck building element to the gameplay. Anyhow I'll shut up now as I'm probably in the minority

Making the weapon pickups some arcadey nonsense instead of finding them organically in the environment was disappointing and the story was a mess. The whole time skip was inexplicably confusing after the Hayden betrayal of 2016. Overall 2016 is what I prefer even if Eternal plays better

2024-08-28 15:52:07 +0000 UTCThere is so much cognative dissonance surrounding concord critiques. Lots of people complained about F2P games marred by microtransactions and battle passes. Then this comes out at 40 flat and people say why get this when others are free. There are complaints that this game has Marvel-esk dialogue or True Value Guardians of the Galaxy but “hey I’m looking forward to Marvel Rivals”. You can’t have it both ways. I’m interested to see statistics about how long people play concord for who play because I feel it’s a good game that no one is playing but those who do play for hours on end. Once this makes the jump to free to play people come check it out it’s a terrible signal for the industry. I digress
