Beginning of July I did a shooting trip to Berlin. Shooting location was the atelier of Michael Wintjen, a photographer who - in normal life - is refurbishing old furniture. He offers to rent that location and so I met with Sophie (@sophielasage_official) there for a shooting.

While I'm on travel for shootings in Berlin and Fuenfhausen (I'll report in a few days about it), I'd like to draw your attention on a book by Ellen von Unwerth, named "Heimat". So far this book was only available in XXL format for an XXL price - 750,- EUR. Since beginning of June there is a version available (25x33 cm, Hardcover, 452 pages) with a more reasonable price - 60,- EUR.

I'll leave Munich this afternoon for a 3-days shooting trip - on Tuesday I'm gonna shoot at Michael Wintjen's atelier in Berlin with Sophie. Together we'll go to Colditz right after the shooting, to an old farm named Fuenfhausen. We'll meet Tezz there as well. Crossing fingers that the weather on Wednesday & Thursday will be nice. The shooting with Margot was the first one where I used curlers for a series - of course, I used curler before, but only in the way, a MUA would use it - never during a shooting.
The nice thing with using such stuff is that the model has to concentrate on the curler. Hence, you get very authentic pictures. Not needed with Margot but with other models, especially models who stick on standard poses it's one way to break their standard performance and get more natural posing ...

So far just an idea ...
When scrolling through my Instagram feed yesterday, I saw this posting by @katerimodel asking for a photographer taking more pictures like the one above ... Those who follow me for a longer time know, that Kate is one of my favorite models. Actually I like the idea of a series with a messy beauty like this and started to think about it. Kate is a model which would play that role perfectly.
Of course, for my way of shooting there should result a series of 15-20 pics in a location other ...
