The ending was so bittersweet. On one hand "Yay no-one died, " and Hikaru gave a piece of himself to Yoshiki (cute) in a way creating a pact. But on the other Yoshiki and Hikaru have finally mixed

You see, in class, her friend came up to her, and she didn't hear her. Asako may have lost that hearing ability of hers, which is bad considering how many times she's saved her friend using that ability.
