2025-08-14 22:00:06 +0000 UTCright, ppl are acting like this improvements to the series are bc the animation improved (which it did) when its mostly a narrative based shift. its really just this part of the manga where the plot and side characters are actually being built upon, and the show is less episodic and while there aren't any real "stakes" in the sakamoto days manga, theres a difference between sakamoto fighting some random bums from chapters 1-30, and 1v1 fight matchups between order members and assassins, where people are actually KILLING each other in cour 1 they definitely fumbled some things like the boiled fight, but now ppl are acting like cour 1 was dogshit terrible when it was literally still enjoyable to watch, just more lighthearted. ppl are acting like mfs in cour 1 were doing shit like the takamura/gaku fight for it to be animated

2025-08-14 03:15:09 +0000 UTCI'm so glad they're doing this series justice. Season 1 wasn't bad, but it had me worried for when they got to fights like this. Sakamoto Days has some of the best fight sequences I've ever read in a manga.
