the end.

Am I the only one hoping for Mattson to win? The three siblings are much better people when they're not involved with that company.

Starman Deluxe

It's been real Patreon community. I'll be back if they ever do White Lotus

Saucy boy

ALSO YES!! I agree this show best attribute is its biggest weakness. The directing from the camera work and episodic format of the show is very unique but god its unbearable at times. for example I would have loved for them to spend more time on the cruises case or just what the siblings do on a normal day at the office. But people have described this writing as "Shakespearean" meaning that its very wordy and more held together by your interpretation of the implied context of events. Which is cool because with the business setting you learn more about how these proecedings, meetings, through your own understaning. That being said, incredible show, after rewatching it with you guys ima give it a 7.5 or an 8 ish

Who Knows

Its finally over..... godamit i wanted Kendal to win so bad. Hes always had the vigor and shive threw it all away because of her animosity. Im happy tom took over though, he deserves it after all hes been through.

Who Knows

The sibling alliance was never going to work. This show has shown time and time again that they can't work together. They're all too self-centered. Logan told them they're not serious people. They keep going on about "oh he promised me the company", completely leaving out the part that Logan was going to sell the company cause he didn't think any of them could do it. Kendall may be the most qualified of the siblings, but that doesn't mean he's qualified to run the company. Dude constantly crashes out and self-sabotages. The second he gets a taste of power he gets full of himself and his behavior becomes totally erratic.

Mike A

If I remember correctly, they actually made the meal fit for a king for real and that was legit him drinking it

windyMelon

Kendall wanted Jimenez, but he valued the company more. He asked Shiv to get Jimenez on their side and she refused to do it, and lied to him. He chose Mencken because it was his best chance of keeping the company, not to get back at Shiv.

Adude

Nah, he was showing signs of faltering with Mencken and hoping that the other guy would win but then shivs betrayal got rid of those feelings entirely

Danielle

They giving shiv wayyy too much credit. She just didn’t want to give it to Kendall. Tom would never leave shiv if he didn’t get it

Mali Howard

Not really. It’s okay if Shiv was selfish. But in this case she was just spiteful. I’d have been happy seeing her as CEO if she stuck with Matsson, but she explicitly sided with Ken, and then decided to turn at the last moment because she couldn’t stand him getting smth she couldn’t have.

Adude

Adude

Thats a wrong assessment of what Kendall did. He did not go with Mencken to stick it to Shiv, he went with Mencken because that was the only choice to keep the company. In any case, I have no problem with Shiv being selfish, if she was appointed CEO by Matsson I’d be happy. The problem I have is that she explicitly sided with Ken and decided to turn on him and embarrass him at the very last moment because she couldn’t stand the thought of her brother getting smth she couldn’t have.

Adude

I STILL Stand by what I said... so you're just arguing against yourself atp...keep it up!

Ss Yonko

Like my guy the best thing about the roshi gang is they don't spend hours discussing shows i dont have to skip shit constantly.

Danger Tomato

Watch the pitt its like the bear but not full of itself

Danger Tomato

I really should’ve scheduled this trip around this cause now i got nothing to watch out of state fuck general cable fuck commercials FUCK fuck damn it fuck

Gary

Thats my thing all these niggas still rich at the end of the day😂 W tom. Kendall better take his money and chase his dad shadow or stfu and be a better dad

kingBD

kendall gave roman that great khalid vs rey mysterio treatment

Fred

They legitimately don’t understand how much of the business world functions.

Aaron Posey

Tom was the only person that played the game he ate shit all the way top just to eat more shit for another billonaire. Greg coulda been the most powerful character if he had a killer instinct, if he was more malicious he coulda fucked everybody up cause he had all the cards, but he's too comfortable failing upwards and it would prolly work out too, since he could take over after Tom buckles under the pressure of the role and boom!!! Greg's the new CEO, they could make a new show of this concept as well, call it SUCCESS. A slow burn season where Greg reverses the roles Coaxs Tom into giving up the job.

GhoulEx

Bro, hand in that mcdonalds application.

Nononanon

Yeah Tom is just the CEO with no real power. Irl CEOs get voted in and out of power all the time. Their kid will not be CEO just because his Dad is. Hes the CEO, not the owner of the company.

Nononanon

Like Logan said these kids aren't serious people. Roman is Lazy, Kendal is too short sighted and Shiv too inexperienced and selfish. It's kind of like Logan gave them all an unplugged controller the entire time, and when it mattered most, when the time had come to pull the levers and play the game they fumbled.

GhoulEx

Tom and Greg forever!

Saucy boy

WHAT A FUCKING SHOW

Thetallgate

Shiv didnt win anything. She ends up as a trophy wife at the end. She lost all the powef in her relationship. Maybe theyll be equal now, who knows.

DarquanJr

Logan carried a large portion of the show tbf

Dontsop Keran

Yes it was a selfish and petty decision, but that describes basically every decision made by every main character throughout the show lol

jerry

I'm so confused by people acting like it's Game of Thrones like CEO is some kind of hereditary position. Tom is the appointed CEO and will likely own significant stock but it's Mattson's company. Tom could be fired within five years and be out in the cold. That's why the kids were so desperate and furious when they found out Logan was selling in the S3 finale, they knew they wouldn't have power and also that none of them were good enough to start something of their own.

jerry

But it's no longer a family firm so it doesn't matter. If Logan cared about bloodline at all he wouldn't have brokered the deal. Tom and Shiv's kid will be rich and get a good education so with family connections could probably get *a job* within the company but it's hardly a guarantee that they will have any power. It's Mattson's company for as long as he can hold on to it.

jerry

In season 2, Shiv showed us that though she talked about sacrificing Tom (her man), when it came down she begged her dad to spare and Kendall had to bite the bullet for it. At end of season 4, she talked a big game out of ending Tom but when it came to it…

Mimi I

Now these are the kind of comments that I think are uncalled for.

Danielle

I don’t think he could “waste their wealth.” He would probably do something impulsive and be fired. He isn’t Logan, someone who is seemingly made of Teflon, and carries a certain weight with him. Do you think Karl would speak to Logan the way he did to Kendall before the Living+ announcement? The board wouldn’t be afraid to vote him out if he stepped out of line and started fucking up their money.

Aaron Posey

It was out of spite. I don’t understand how anyone could possibly come to the conclusion that she did it for Tom.

Aaron Posey

The company isn’t in the family at all. They don’t have shit. No seats on the board, no assurances and no real power. If the only person “in the family” who is still employed by WayStar is Tom, the empty suit, Mattson’s proverbial “pain sponge” how exactly does she or any of them for that matter have “power?” It’s practically spelled out that Mattson is going to strip WayStar for salvageable parts, shutter the excess and anything WayStar has with brand synergy will be folded into Gojo. The power is gone.

Aaron Posey

Rome could have said that Kendall bought both his children if we follow a f*ck*d logic, one being adopted, the other being from a paid donor. None of that is morally right to say. Yet Rome didn’t say that. He precisely said that Sophie had been bought in (implying bought into the country), it’s not just a recall to adoption but also one to her south asian origins. He recall that rich people from 1st-world countries can buy up 3-rd world countries children if they’re ever as “impotent” as Ken.

Mimi I

She didn’t lose because of “misogyny.” That’s insanely reductive and narrow minded. She lost because she isn’t as smart as she thinks she is. Never once in this entire show has she ever shown herself to understand people and what inherently motivates them and how to play in to those motivations for her benefit nor has she ever gotten any legitimate, airtight assurances for herself which is why she is constantly fucked over. Instead of using Tom’s lust for power as means of control she instead degraded him at every opportunity, never took his worries or concerns seriously and constantly used him as a pawn but let him know the entire time that that’s all he was to her: a pawn. She didn’t play to Mattson’s ego and how he views himself as the smartest person in the room and stupidly played into the idea of her puppeteering him when it was fairly obvious he didn’t want that and didn’t see them as equals let alone as his puppeteer. The only person in the entire show who actually said and believed that Shiv is the smartest person in the room is Shiv herself. Rhea said it best: “Shiv isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she is.”

Aaron Posey

All hail team Tom

Ginger Dwarf

I don’t get what was racist bout romans comment of the kids? I took buy in as adoption and half rava n half cabinet guy as step kid?

Pablo

what a series finale wow

halsa

Ngl even tho season 4 is apparently the most popular I feel like apart from Connor’s wedding episode, the previous seasons were better

Narybasmati

EVERYDAY INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE GETS CLOSER 🙌🏾🙌🏾

GojosHoho

Yeah the business speech had my brain spinning in circles multiple times 😭😭 especially when they're all talking over each other having a serious conversation about margins or whatever the fuck and Roman interjecting his incesty dick jokes💀💀

GojosHoho

You in the wrong patreon for that boi, how bout take it or leave it instead of whining over nothing yeah? You want reactors or sleuths? Tf yourself

Offw0rlder

I read a theory somewhere that this ending is essentially what Logan would have wanted. He wanted someone in the bloodline to carry on with the company and they got that with Shiv and Tom's baby. He seemed to not care for Kendall's kids and didn't see them as a direct bloodline as mentioned by Roman. I can't even recall him interacting with Sophie in the show. Roman was most likely not going to have kids. So if he had heard Shiv was pregnant before he died, he most likely would have pushed for her/Tom to carry on the torch. Logan wanting someone in the family is also alluded to when they find that will that had Kendall "crossed" out and had a question mark next to Greg's name. He wasn't going to do it, but was conflicted on who in the family to pass the it on to and would carry on the bloodline.

Phrilly

Logan built his company in such a way that no one would ever be “good enough” to run it, because he never intended seriously to have an heir. He was a selfish narcissist, and the best thing for all of them would be to disassociate from him and his legacy.

Baramus

Keep in mind this season plays out in like a week so everything that’s happened since logan dying is very recent so it makes sense that they couldn’t hack it

Danielle

She's also the most inexperienced and least knowledgeable out of all the siblings aside from Connor. She's most like Logan in the way that she's just a toxic person, moreso than the boys.

Moon God

wut... they all have been doing that non stop from the beginning of the show. Yall have become so self obsessed with supporting some of the characters despite all of them being parasites who sell out any of their values at the drop of a penny lol

Jhop

Love shiv's character as sort of the cruelest of the siblings, she's the most like logan in terms of how low she'll go but she's a woman so it's pushed off.

Michael Cannon

@Delgado to be clear, I said nothing to the contrary of a single point you made. Yes, he’d technically be the best of the 3, still doesn’t change what I was saying though. The best of the 3 could still mean worse compared to a plethora of others. I also did not say that Shiv cared about actually having a good CEO, just that she knows Ken wouldn’t be a good one and uses that as her reason. In both these situations both things can be and are true.

CK12341

But that’s the thing all of the siblings do. Kendall didn’t want Mencken to win but wanted to stick it to Shiv for lying to him so he backed him anyway. Roman knew Kendall cared about acquiring Vaulter so his first suggestion to Logan was to burn it down.

Lamaree Jackson

Shiv DOES NOT care about raising a family, or even the wellbeing of the company. She just could not stand Ken getting the position that she was constantly promised, and she ultimately said "If I can't have it, nobody can"

Adude

Maybe he just didn’t have anything to say or they already said everything, like damn it’s not that big of a deal, he chillin relax.

Rawfish36

I’d say she still won tbh

Z

Please Start REACHER now Three of you please. Waiting like Gisele( From Fast -Furious) 😂😂😂

Reyan Life

Lmao people were saying Roshi’s logic was gonna trump the sheeragan for this show. Kendall was a clear crash out from the beginning of the show and Roshi never stopped supporting him. Sheera called the ending like 30 minutes into the episode

Lamaree Jackson

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

Oh shit I never caught the comparison between Shiv the scorpion getting Kendall in the end, nice catch. But I'd say that it would indicate that she'd make it if she just trusted Kendall. She's sunk in every universe. She'll always lose because every single man can, will and has betrayed her

Danielle C

Even if you did have a point this ain't the way to express it, if anything you've made people disagree with you just based on tone.

BindingofNack

Yes.

Paris Hardy

Ew wtfs your problem?

DiscoDie111

Yall should watch Twilight of the Gods on Netflix

Anthony T

Regardless of the drama that went down in the comment section the last batch of episodes, wether Shiv got what she deserved in episode 8. It’s still so gutting to see Shiv lose to misogyny. She fought till the end but no matter where she went whether it was her own father, or the Swedes it was always. “You’re so capable, you’re fit, but- you’re a woman”. The last shot with Shiv and Tom really nails it. They started off with Tom worshipping her, and it ends with her palm in his and pregnant with his child. Their power dynamic has shifted so she’s at his mercy, instead of the other way around like in the beginning. Towards something more patriarchal. She’s going to end up like her mother. 🥀

mint_f

Most people don’t think Ken is a good CEO but it’s obvious he’d be the best choice out of the 3. Shiv doesn’t care about who would be a good CEO otherwise she would never nominated herself even after everyone has told her she’s inexperienced for the role- she just can’t stomach Kendal winning

Delgado

yeah I totally agree with shera Shiv kept it in HER family and she still has power and they need her after all. Ken losing was his fault we have seen it through out the show he self sabotages all the time he's not fit for it, he never win because he's not a winner he's a loser. In the real world you don't get to power by demanding it, in reality in the corporate world people like Tom who who sits around and takes it until their moment comes are the ones who do win or killers like Logan and Ken isn't a killer nor a man who sits and wait

sol jam

Don't overthink it guys. Shiv is a narcissist. She just wanted the power to play kingmaker, even for just a second. She was always going to change her vote no matter who she agreed to beforehand, if it wasn't herself. Just like her dad, that's just who she is.

Ephraim

Mannnnn Kendal better than me. If a nigga talk about my kids, imma try to crush their skull too lmao

Delinda Arts

That’ll do Tom, That’ll do 🙂‍↕️

Delinda Arts

I guess when it comes to money Greg got it the worse since he went from potential getting inheritance of 250 mill to just scraps of 200k a year and now he can never be on Tom good side again or be fully trusted.

Marv

MYY BOY TOM WITH THE DUB!!!! Shiv also won, with her association with Tom.. what a brilliant ending <3

Samoan Thor

Lupa was me during the Kendal crash out scene like bruh im so uncomfortable I can’t watch this train wreck happen. Just kept getting worse and worse…

Cam Kaneki

Was honestly expecting to see Kendall's body fly past the windows when Mattson was signing, Also I'm pretty sure the siblings still get paid out like hundreds of millions for their shares right? Like them "losing" just means they're no longer involved with the company,

bark

I mean, I'm pretty sure the siblings still get hundreds of millions from the deal right?

bark

The one thing you have to realize is the Kendal always thought was nailing the pitch add the win. That wasn't it though. You have to track everything. That's why Logan kept that crew around him. B can't do it all yourself.

Derrick B

Bro relax What the hell Maybe it’s because he already said what he needed to say throughout the episode I swear shit like this is why Roshi isn’t gonna put succession on YouTube which is honestly a big shame

Nexa

speak for yourself and remain unsophisticated I guess... TF?

Ss Yonko

You think we pay these people to have discussions and conversations about the stupid TV shows they watch bro we just here for their reactions that's all we care about we ain't no sophisticated people

Danger Tomato

Lupa throughout that entire segment: Takes off glasses...sips yellow water bottle...cleans glasses....nods....chuckles....says"yep".... like bro say something intelligent!!!!

Ss Yonko

New season just dropped

Danger Tomato

bro WTF is the purpose of LUPA? like bro contributed NOTHING to the convo in the end...just sat there while Roshi and Sheera talked about the show.

Ss Yonko

They've seen that

Helpy

Probably the most sane thing I think I've ever seen you comment

John Cedar

Ball Knower

MurkTheDreamer

Depends on what you want from a show I guess. Succession is Top 5 all time shows for me, along with Saul. If someone says AoT or Barry or Vinland Saga or The Bear is better to them I'm not gonna argue with that, it's their preference But for me, there are clearly those shows that are essentially drama masterpieces like The Wire, Mr Robot, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, and Snowfall. Succession definitely belongs up there with them imo, and if you think it doesn't, I doubt you could convince me otherwise. The show is so fucking well written.

John Cedar

I love this show so much. I didn't want any of the kids to win because like Logan said, they're not serious people. Whenever Ken doesn't get his way, he spirals and falls back into his addiction, Rome is a mess, Shiv does not have the experience to run Waystar and I think she should have went back to politics the moment she realised that Logan played her.

Sam

I remember watching this ending a couple weeks back lol so bad.

Z

Kendall is the best option of the three, he's also an addict who has lost every takeover attempt he's ever made and less than a year ago was aligned with stewy and sandy in the bear hug, and then he opened the company up for a doj investigation with Crusies. The best of the three is someone that no shareholder should have faith in, especially after everything he did in season 3. Also Greg f'ed it cause he told Ken that Mattson wasn't going to pick shiv which gave them the opportunity to rally. If Greg hadn't blabbed, shiv should have voted through, none the wiser, the brothers would not have had the numbers and Lukas would have won easily. Greg also screwed them. Also interesting that though they always lock out Connor, he actually seemed to the closest with Logan. He was the one Logan told about his mausoleum, he was the one that was actually there in the dinner video joking around with his dad and the old guard. Not being in the running for CEO actually probably helped Connor have a better relationship with Logan

sam karanja

From Jeremy Strong, the actor for Kendall, that ending take was originally more extended with Kendall attempting Suicide. They cut it shorter to make it ambiguous whether he actually attempts or is just thinking about it but it was meant to be the death of Kendall either actually or the version of Kendall we knew through the series.

Crow's Nest

Mattson told Tom straight up he’s gna be a figure head for the public to take any & all public scrutiny (like he did with cruises & the presidential election) while he cannibalises the best parts of the company before moving onto the next acquisition for his fraudulent tech company

Fred_D3

Shiv isn’t the puppet she’s the puppets bride loool, & Yhh they each made an extra few billion from the deal which would be life changing to us, but to people who grew up with wealth that means nothing, power & influence is what matters

Fred_D3

dam i been thinking of this from the beginning . i honestly thought greg was gonna become ceo of something. like the amusement park thing that tom had. i also thought they were gonna push tom. have tom be the front man for the siblings. my favorite scene was greg smacking the shit out of tom lol. none of them would have been good as ceo. roman is not qualified. shiv becomes a child and immediately goes into princess mode when she gets news she dont like and kendall gets too cocky and starts being an asshole when he gets any power, the show ended with logan roy dead im happy. this show is a 10 for me

Key0

Nobody won this game except for Conor, Ken is now denied from something that his life revolved around since he was a kid and basically groomed by his father, shiv ended up being like her mother in this loveless marriage and gave tom the spot to spite Kendall so now Tom has her by the horn, Roman is alone and no one is there to give him some form of punishment that he wants like his father did to him,Tom Is still a puppet even tho he’s CEO, Greg sold his soul for nothing but eating shit from everyone still.

Marv

Lmao forgot how this episode basically choreographs elon doing his dumbass DOGE shit

Jhop

How is he still a puppet?

Jesse

Ngl if I was Kendall in that scene I would have crashed tf out on Shiv, she and her whole bloodline would be dead to me like wtf. Plus, I understand what Sheera said at the end that she said no because of Tom, but because the show has shown us how incredibly selfish she can be I feel like she still made that decision heavily out of jealousy since she even tried to weaponise the kid accident Kendall went trough as a reason fully knowing how fuked up he was bc of it when he told her and Roman. Regardless though ty for your reaction guys this was one hell of a ride and... Long live the DISGUSTING-BROTHERS

PROMISE EMEJURU

When Roshi was hiding his face in his hands, I was dying

Sixaxis112

Shiv sucks people say Tom got his w but he’s still just a puppet so not really at least they got their money though

ZO

I've always been on the train of "characters are multifaceted, motivations are complex, people contradict themselves all the time and do things without even fully understanding why" especially when it comes to this show. In this case though it was kind of funny to see all the speculation about Shiv's decision when she spelled it out for us: "I love you but I cannot stomach you." She can't stomach that Kendall 'won' and also can't stomach him on a personal level. You see the flip switch when Ken puts his feet on their father's desk and reverts back to business frat bro with Stewy. I don't think Tom or the baby entered into it at the moment of truth at all. The thing is, she's not wrong about Kendall being bad for the job, we've seen a whole series worth of evidence making that case. Culminating in his total meltdown when he maybe had a tiny chance of convincing her but managed to not only steel her resolve but to also turn Roman against him. And we know that Shiv has always had that opinion about Kendall, she pretty bluntly told him that all the way back in episode 2. I just don't think it was at the forefront of her mind in the moment. It was a gut level decision.

jerry

Kendall was the most qualified but it also was not enough. I think that’s the reason that Logan never secured Ken as the next in line because even at Kendall’s best…he wasn’t Logan. None of them were but Ken came close.

PetersThimble

ken would’ve been a horrible ceo. despite him putting the company above his own wife and kids, he still has nothing to show for it and still proves to be an unreliable leader. soon as he gets an inch of power he starts making irrational decisions, expecting everyone around him to be yes men, and when things don’t go his way, he crashes out. he’s like roman but in a more presentable way. I think constantly seeing his downs compared to his few ups made the audience root for ken despite his flaws. but I honestly did not see any of them to be fit as ceo so the sibling scene in the empty room after shiv stepped away, it was all entertainment for me.

Charmaine

“C*nt is as C*nt does”

Chief Doodle

like roman says they are bullshit

Nrock23

They have a huge list of live action shows they announced they’re planning on watching when there’s downtime so the Pitt won’t get watched for a LONG minute. Very good show though!

PetersThimble

Shiv is trapped Rome is free Kendall is a man with no country Tom had the Joker card. S/n: Tom was interested in the company before Shiv even showed interest. What he said to Mattson was shown consistently throughout the entire show. Tom becoming CEO was foreshadowed when he was put in charge of cruises. It was set in motion from there what his future was going to be.

XORA NICO

As crazy as Conner can be, he truly seems to be the most at peace with himself of any of the sibs.

jerry

This was the only ending I could think of that is a win win for everyone involved -feelings. Every member of the board becomes billionaires, if not multi billionaires when it comes to the siblings. Tom and Greg, the only 2 people who came from the outside and made there way to the top by learning everything they could from the people at the top. They both single handedly had the best character development and interactions for me personally and really made the show. It was shown from episode 1 that no sibling was gonna be the ones to take over. Kendal, no matter what it is, he will self sabotage everytime. Roman, no matter what he tries to accomplish, in the end he’s too much of a pussy to ever accomplish anything on his own. And Shiv, no matter how many times she was told that she has what it takes but she needs to put the work in and get some experience first, she never listens and believes that she doesn’t need to and that’s why she was overlooked by her own father, matson and that other politician. I think it was the best ending because it showed that even with 4 seasons of character development that the siblings never learned a single thing from there father and that’s why the 2 people who learned every single thing they could and used effectively won, Tom and Greg. 10/10 Show 🔥

Doodlboop123

This was the best possible ending for the siblings. Shiv finally got to be at the top of the company even tho she's a puppet. Kendall's relationships have always been burdened by the company and now he can finally be free, and lets face it. Rome was not built for that life. Plus at the end of the day, each of the siblings still made hundreds of millions(or billions? I dont remember) for the sale to Gojo

13

> Honestly, the most telling evidence of this is it only took a week or two for them to lose the fucking company lol. Regardless of whose "fault" it was. This isn’t really a fair assessment given the position they were in after 4x3. They were on the back foot and not even involved with the company for over 6 months by the time tanking the deal and running it themselves even became a possibility. From that point on it was around a week.

Aaron Posey

It’s sad coz after this betrayal the siblings can never come together again to do the hundred, they’ll probably back out of buying pearce & keep the money from the gojo sale

Fred_D3

Tom won’t be able to stop Mattson from dismantling waystar coz he owns it, the ending displayed the inevitability of big tech vs traditional media

Fred_D3

Ken might have been the most qualified on paper, but if the choice is either him running it and potentially having one of his crash outs or guaranteed money, I'm taking the money and gtfo

LC

Maaan that boar on the floor really paid off for Tom & Greg lmao

Fred_D3

Roman wasn’t being racist about Kendall’s kids his point was that Ken’s daughter is in fact his step daughter & his son is from a sperm doner, it’s fucked up to bring up but to an old traditional guy like Logan they’re in fact fakes

Fred_D3

10/10 perfect finale. There was no fucking way in hell Ken was gonna win in the end. Instead, the winners are the ones who have a survival instinct (Tom and Greg), the money (Stewy), and of course the Elon stand in (Mattson). Rome is on to the next thing, Shiv gets to be lady Macbeth for the next generation so she’s still in the game. And at the end Ken is a complete loser being followed by the fucking grim reaper himself (Colin).

del

This just pissed me off

PushyDruid

Loved that Tom got his W i just wish it was without that ginger fucking bulldog Shiv. REALLY wish the show ended with her getting NOTHING. Anyway this was definitely a RIDE!👍

Ayanda Mpofu

This nigga said stranger things loolll

Fizzy

Yall are mad at Shiv, but she's totally right about Ken. She sucks too so just to be crystal clear this is not a defense of her, but Kendall would not be good at it. Thats kind of been the whole point of this show. None of them are fit for it. I think people get a little disillusioned sometimes when it comes to Ken because even though there technically is no one protagonist, a lot of viewers get tied to him as it so they're more likely to turn just a slight blind eye to his faults, at least in comparison to the other siblings. They all are not their father though, and they never will be. Like I said, that's what the series has always been about. There is a reason why arguably the most famous quote from the show is Logan's last words to them: "You are not serious people". Honestly, the most telling evidence of this is it only took a week or two for them to lose the fucking company lol. Regardless of whose "fault" it was.

CK12341

you guys should react to school spirits now!!

Lily Rose

“I love you but I can’t fucking stomach you” that was the relationship between all the siblings right there

Marv

why i can see roshi holding his tongue on shiv in the past two episodes😂😂😂

janelle

Eventually in the hands of any of the kids the company will fail lol.

Imari

The fall of the Roman Empire.

Jamaal Ellison

Succession 2: The Kenpire strikes back

Saucy boy

It's really over where do we go from here?

Jamaal Ellison

Yeah, I think in that moment she realized she would rather take Kendall down with her than see him be cocky in the throne.

Inconspicuous Pug

Feel like shiv changed her mind when she saw kendall prop his feet up on their father's desk, that's when it became real to her And roman is so broken and use to abuse that's why kendall was pressing on his head so hard

Taylor

asking for the pitt for weeks, maybe when they have down time from shows.

Raider

Praying yall pick up “The Pitt”

Moisty Justice

She's a Scorpion.

Jamaal Ellison

Shiv is right. Kendall just cant do it. We have seen it the entire show. He doesnt listen to advice and wont learn, he just isnt going to change. He would waste all their wealth, so they should just cash out.

DarquanJr

yo roshi didn't have to open his mouth, i could tell from his facial expression that he was screaming "FUCK U SHIV" inside lol

Joni

I don’t think it has to do with her being a woman, but with her as a character. She’s just as bad as her brothers

Mads Lund

Creator pretty much confirmed Shiv wasn't thinking when she said no. She was just pissed Kendall won and didn't want to see him as CEO because that would mean daddy loved him the best. She didn't do it as an apology to Tom, just pure tantrum.

terrakion.is.good

The Scorpion comparison Tom made about Shiv comes to fruition she can't cross the river under her own power because she's not strong enough. Shiv then agrees to an alliance with Roman and Kendall who helps her cross the river because she can't cross it by herself. Then like the Scorpion that she is Shiv strkes Kendall in the back and drowning them all because she couldn't help herself.

Jamaal Ellison

With regard to the power dynamic between Tom and Shiv after this episode, keep in mind that she's still the billionaire, he's not. He'll probably become a billionaire himself eventually with stock options in his CEO compensation package, but she's about to get a few billion right now from the sale of the company (as will Ken, Rome, and Connor). It's a pretty safe bet that she had a pretty solid prenup in place before they got married that keeps the bulk of her money in her sole possession if things go south (again) with them in the future. And though Tom is now the CEO of Waystar, a GoJo company - Matsson is still the CEO of GoJo, which effectively makes him Tom's boss. Lukas made it clear to Tom when he offered him the job that they would not be equal partners, he just wants Tom to be the face of the company in the U.S. and to handle all the heat that comes fom the job - Tom's primary job is to be Lukas' pain sponge.

DTGstl314

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

I think another moment I empathize with Shiv in is whenever she's interacting with her mom. The show doesn't shy away from showing us how badly that relationship affected her.

Pan .

Ok I think I figured out the mystery show roshi will hit us with next week its gotta be black mirror.

Danger Tomato

Tom Wasmgams with the Triple unassisted play in the ninth inning to win the world series.

Jamaal Ellison

Probably the best show hbo ever made

Danger Tomato

that’s what i’m saying bro

LJ Thomas

Damn, she's called Shiv for a reason.

Lurkingposter

If it were you would you ever speak to them again?

Jamaal Ellison

The oldest trick in the women play book.

Jamaal Ellison

True true.. it was certainly a gamble with him and she made the wrong play. The reason why I think her being a woman mattered is when he told Tom he wanted to fuck her and that being a problem. And that’s just not something any man has to worry about with him

Danielle

TBH none of them were fit but ken was the most qualified to run it out of the 3. and idc but i still think shiv fucked them cuz it couldn't be her

Shawnii

The most stable couple in the show.

Jamaal Ellison

Every Shiv scene i could see the wheels in Rhoshi's head turning. I'm pretty goddamn sure i know what he was thinking. 🤣

Jamaal Ellison

Honestly I'm just happy for tom and greg the most. I hope they work their troubles out.😅😄

Rissa2003MM

I honestly don’t think Mattson cared she was a woman. He didn’t want another man overseeing him either which is why he asked Roman when Logan was going to die. He’s a fraud but he does understand the utility of people and understands the importance of good counsel which is why he respected Logan and kept who he kept during the acquisition. As for the harassment he seems like someone who punches down, not up or eye level, so I’m not sure even he would risk harassing his US CEO regardless of how much power she does or doesn’t have.

Aaron Posey

The show started with Kendall almost taking over until his brother turned on him last second, the show ends with Ken almost taking over again, until his sister betrays him last second

NRZ

Man I hope we get the white lotus that shit slaps

Danger Tomato

Haven't even watched the reaction yet just wanted to say I loved this show when it first aired, have missed it since it's been gone and I really enjoyed getting to rewatch it with the GOAT reactors, as well as the discussion in the comments section.

jerry

I think they did give us sympathetic scenes with Shiv and flesh out her character when she interacted with her mother, because it seems like they have both the closest and the most complicated relationship out of the siblings. It shows why Shiv is scared of commitment and being emotionally honest because that’s what she never got from her mother. I can definitely imagine that Shiv will eventually turn into her as a mother herself, and that’s the tragedy with her character. It’s not necessarily a happy ending for Shiv either

Mads Lund

Good point! Maybe he could ignore her being a woman if she played it differently. However I worry that would mean tolerating crazy behavior like how he is with Edna or whatever her name is. I can’t imagine Shiv just accepting a man above her sending her his blood and pushing her around. Sure he’ll bully Tom as much as possible but it’ll never be the same as he is with women imo.

Danielle

I loveeee the ominous way we leave Kendall. There was apparently a take of him climbing over the fence but that feels corny to me personally. I think the will he won't he is the perfect end because even if he lives, he's always going to be this broken, he will always be towing that line. Kendall is always fucking up but the hope that he will get that crown kept him going. Whether he dies or not, he's going to be tormented by this L for as long as he lives.

Danielle C

Nope its gonna be stranger things

Danger Tomato

Shiv isn’t dumb but she also horrible at playing the game. She can’t read people well at all and doesn’t know how to appeal to what they want. She doesn’t have any “softness” to her, instead she bludgeons her way through any and all perceived obstacles and it always backfires on her. She didn’t know how to appeal to Mattson’s ego when it should have been fairly obvious that he didn’t want an equal or to be seen as her “puppet.” That’s why Mattson immediately looked elsewhere because Tom is willing to fit any mold you want him to fit while also having the experience and being good at his job. She did the same shit to Tom too time and time again. Fancying herself the “new sheriff in town” and calling him her “deputy” despite not even holding a legitimate position in the company at the time. Trying to blackmail Gerri with cruises. Trying to blackmail Greg, coming empty handed to quite possibly the most transactional character in the entire show which lead to her being outed for working with Mattson.

Aaron Posey

We'll always have Paris Tomato.

Jamaal Ellison

And also. Logan was right. They are not serious people. Kendall may have the killer instinct, but it’s too unstable to seriously run the company long-term. Shiv while tenacious and business savvy doesn’t have the experience nor the the killer instinct to be taken seriously. Rome is just too broken and doesn’t take the role seriously and buckles under pressure.

Robert Blackett

Shiv did not, in my opinion, do it for Tom. She simply couldn't stomach handing the company over to Kendall, and that’s that. It's why she didn't give a legitimate reason why she couldn't vote for him, instead choosing to weaponize a genuine moment of vulnerability, which is quite rare on this show, that Kendall shared with her to undermine him and his reputation. By the end of the show Shiv is quite literally Caroline, her mother, an emotionally unavailable women who has never won a single battle in her life, always playing second fiddle to the ambitions of the men in her life.

Aaron Posey

Bingo!

Robert Blackett

Conner wins in the end he may have been overlooked and passed over constantly. But he was by his father's side in the moments the siblings couldn't be. When they were estranged from Logan Jerri, Frank, Karl, and Conner knew a Side of Logan the siblings never saw. Conner was the only Child Logan let in and I'd bet Shiv Roman and Kendall would've given anything to have that. It's probably the one thing Connor has over them.

Jamaal Ellison

People think she chose Tom when really she chose “not Kendall.” Anyone thinking there’s gonna be some healthy relationship between the two of them after this is on the delusional side

Danielle

It’s a great show.

Aaron Posey

PEAK

Tancho22

She didn’t do it for Tom. She always always never wanted it to be Kendall. She was content with it up into the very point when she realized that he was going to be an actual power so as a final FU to him, she switched the vote, but now that puts her in a loveless marriage with Tom. She has no voting power and it’s just there to pop out an heir.

Robert Blackett

That's right I'm a fed I never liked this bum ass show

Danger Tomato

Tomato!!!😭

Jamaal Ellison

Damn. 🤣

Jamaal Ellison

I remember when I first watched the finale, I basically wanted none of the sibs to get the crown. And even though I got what I wanted, it didn't make me feel happy because I do feel bad for all of them at the end. Roman was just too broken to ever have the highest position, and Shiv didn't have the knowledge or access to be taken seriously as CEO, and thinks way too highly of herself. Ken is too unstable to ever be CEO for long. Frankly, I have no doubt that he'd probably tank Waystar in a few months or years if he was put in charge. At the end of the day, they're all still billionaires and will be perfectly fine, and could do anything they want for the rest of their lives but they'll all probably still be miserable over this.

LC

Chris from the normies said it the best “ we made it guys, this is the last board meeting” 🙌🏿

Louis

I really want to thank you guys for reacting to this show I had watched the first episode a few years ago but I didn’t continue it but you guys reacting to it made me watch the whole show and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nexa

shiv def lost. she became everything she didn't like. she's not going to be a mastermind in the back just because Tom is CEO, Mattson is already there. Tom is Mattson' puppet. Tom is a CEO not an actual significant shareholder.

Delgado

Gonna miss the Succession era. The memes were immaculate. I'm glad that Tom and Greg came out alright but I wish Ken didn't have to take an L for it. Also, Shiv is a whole ass demon. Like Sheera was kind of saying, we didn't get to really see any good sides of her. I really just needed one thing to really like this ending, and it would have been for Ken to kill himself for his final scene. He is so fucked now.

Tuny kun

Lmao they def dgaf

Danielle

The siblings concerned about the dead kid right now as if they haven’t been working w Kendal since the incident

Delgado

either would be sweet lowkey pulling for top boy though

SirCapAlot

lupa not slick changing his shirt lol

Shawnii

I watched it while it was airing for about 3 seasons and didn’t come back for the last one. Maybe something shifted? Idk but yeah i agree

Danielle

Its extremely depressing. They’re gonna need a comedy just to balance out

Kris Khachikyan

This would be really cool. Idk if they would or even if they would do it live but I'd definitely tune in.

DJ

kendall is very tragic because I believe that the the show was trying to tell us that he ended up becoming his dad and its not what he wanted, his dad was not good for him, and will leave him miserable and broken every time. The show tells us this constantly with plot threads and characters constantly saying that he is not his dad so stop trying to be him.

cornett0

I need gangs of London or Top Boy next plsssssaa

Adebayo Adeniji

Roshi: Ready to go nut nut 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

BigTastyBets

Just wanted to say that yall are some of the best reactors out there, especially with this show cause like yall said it is a great character study and seeing yall analyze and shit was really fun

Lamine

Probably already mentioned, but the last scene filmed was the scene in the kitchen together.

Divinerights

End of the day Shiv really just became exactly like her mother Married to the CEO of the company Ironic isn’t it

Nexa

That would be hilarious.

briana

Well yikes, I thought we were just talking about the show’s plot but okay!

briana

‘i don’t think i’ve won a single battle my whole life’ is soo shiv! caroline and shiv had so many fantastic scenes. and shiv’s ending also left me the most devastated. her and tom’s final scene and the cold hand holding does not give me much hope…

anna

The should get Lupa on stream and made a tier list of every tv show they react to

zacharie garondo

Also damn sorry that kid is deff gonna have some issues, she suffers the death of her father, being betrayed by Mattson, she falls over, AND she's drinking constantly throughout her pregnancy? This kid is so cooked and they aint even born yet

Danielle C

Okay so you’re just nitpicking wording that isn’t even there. Point to where I say Shiv is “just like her mom”. The heart of what I meant is very clear. There is a direct parallel between her and her mother. One that she is not happy with and very much tried to avoid

Danielle

Yeah that's true but saying she is "just like her mom" just isn't all that true because while it's a similar that they're both women and married to the Waystar CEO there are many other factors in play and it kind of reduces the characterizations of multiple people, including Tom. Tom would never treat Shiv like Logan and Shiv is known for dipping when a situation no longer serves her and she has the billionaire resources to do it unlike Caroline. Logan was richer than Caroline. Tom is not richer than Shiv.

briana

Shiv for sure got the nastiest ending. She became EXACTLY like her mother who she absolutely despises. The cruel narcissistic wife of a CEO, mother to a kid she never wanted and will ruin, in a loveless marriage, forever fated to be the loser. As Caroline said in their conversation together "I don't think I've won anything my entire life" now neither will Shiv.

Danielle C

all those instances aside she’s not the leader of the company. her husband is and she won’t be satisfied with that. She grabs his hand reluctantly at the end. There’s bitterness and dissatisfaction there regardless. Sure Tom is kind enough to allow her to give input but the title meant as much as it did to Kendal Caroline comes from wealth does she not???

Danielle

Million dollar secret stream tonight?

logan krause

Shiv really kept it close to the vest until the zero hour to use against Kendall. Cissy Saint, Wendy Byrde, Louie, and Shiv Roy Hall Of Fame Soul crushing women.

Jamaal Ellison

I guess in a way because she's married to the Waysta CEO but the similarities end there. Tom is not Logan and that's been the main thing from the start. Out of everyone on this show Tom is the most "good." Even Greg was willing to throw Tom under the bus to get ahead so Tom will never be Logan and would not treat Shiv how Logan treated Caroline or even how Shiv treated him. Also, Shiv is not in the same position as Caroline. Shiv is wealthier than Tom and a literal billionaire and has a whole political career, something she was pursuing at the start of the season on the side. Tom and Shiv's plan from the start was for Tom to be CEO and it took a long way to get here but this is really just their OG plan with a lot more drama lmao.

briana

interview with the vampire next please i’m begging on my hands and knees

terrestrialbody

Now I can finally say it. Kendall was NEVER going to be the successor from the start. Everyone has clocked Kendall's inability to do the job. Kendall is just like Logan but without the juice to get it done. Roman is back where he started, being a partying playboy. Shiv's decision is still hotly debated. She couldn't stomach Kendall and voted Tom without speaking with him after their conversation on the phone. She didn't know where they stood but took a gamble. Shiv is still my favorite character on this show. Everyone's motives and ambitions are pretty clear but it's still fun to watch because of the writing, performances, and directing. At the end Jeremy Strong said something about how he feels Kendall would be suicidal and wanted to jump in that last scene but they decided against it. The last thing they shot for the show was the stuff in the Caribbean between Kendall, Shiv, and Roman. That's when the big three wrapped and Jeremy got everyone to shave off some of his hair. Oh and Karolina threw Hugo under the bus because her and Hugo have beef. It's kind of low key but Hugo tried to get Karolina fired back in season 2 with the DOJ stuff and Logan was putting together a list. Earlier this season Karolina knew Hugo was laughing at Kerry and she tried to get him caught by Logan. Also in the kill list episode they have tried to come for each other. Shiv saved Gerri and Karolina in the kill list episode but since it seemed like Shiv wanted to side with Kendall, Karolina tried again to have Hugo fired.

briana

I feel like the ending was pretty good as all the people who were looked down on rose to better positions as if it were them that actually were the successors.

cornett0

It’s crazy because all that bullshit “I’m one of the guys” persona Shiv put on for Mattson and in general only for it to not matter at all. Him and all the other men in this field are sexist at the end of the day. He chose Tom over her because he couldn’t stand the fact that he’s attracted to her. It was never gonna be her because of that. So she fought against her circumstances as hard as she could even if it meant hurting others just for it to not matter because you can’t outdo a systemic problem.

Danielle

Kendall's last fumble.

Pol McGee

07:51 not Lupa blowing the ending to s1 of Big Little Lies lmao

rajames

Shiv’s character is seriously one for the books. Every awful thing she did was out of desperation to avoid becoming like her mother. Only to end up in the same position. Wife to a CEO. She will be bitter about it and be as cold to her child as her mother was to her. And cycle repeats itself . She chose this over seeing her brother with the title because that sickened her more. However, she was definitely right about why he’s unfit for it but her voting against him wasn’t out of sincere concern.

Danielle

Goodbye Peak

Hanamichi10

Gosh what a finale!! On my first watch you do think Shiv is awful (and she is) for basically ruining everything but upon this rewatch - and this might be a hot take - she was right about Kendall. He was the best option out of all the kids and i feel so bad cause this company was his whole life, he sacrifced everything (his relationship with Rava and his kids) for it and it amounted to nothing. BUT Kendall gets manic when he's in power, as shown multiple times throughout the show, he would have NAWT been good at being ceo and would have most likely driven the company to the ground. In the end, none of the kids end up happy (except for Connor lol), Shiv will end up like her mother, Roman's been depressed since Logan's death and that probably won't change although he now understands it was always bs anyway, and we all know what will happen with Kendall. Even with Tom, i think his actor Matthew Macfayden said he's essentially going to be a puppet for Mattson, so he has the title but none of the actual power which isn't a happy end either. They all still get billions of dollars but what's that compared to what they all really wanted which was their father's approval...glad you guys picked up this show though!! Patiently waiting for Dark reactions :)

Daniella

The ending was a bit chilling the first time I saw it. And Jeremy (Kendall's actor) said he wanted to jump into the river and have it end there and the show writer agreed but they couldn't do it because they hadn't planned it/had water safety crew. But he really would've ended his life for losing the company.

Purple Haze

AOT is my 2nd favorite show of all time behind Succession I’d argue it has a case

MurkTheDreamer

i have never forgotten ‘why don’t i get the guy who put the baby inside her instead of the baby lady?’ that was such a slap in the face like wow

anna

Not sure what y’all see in Mr Robot tbh

Danielle

Shiv is similar Candace Owen, tryna rebrand and get her privilege ass to the top no matter the cost, fucking over family while she sits cozy in her situation.

Ernie

I agree season 2 of severance was boring

Danger Tomato

Why do people keep taking Danger Tomato's obvious bait

Sekraan

Not one of those shows "clears" Succession. The only one on par is Better Call Saul.

Sekraan

It’s def top tier but I feel like I’m one of the minority that thinks severance was mid as hell and overrated 💀 not my cup of tea, I couldn’t e em get past 5 episodes bruh

Malik Allen

😂😂

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

@Conk unless you're Brian Cox, in which case it makes you even cooler

J Man

The way this show makes you feel bad for them even though they’ve all been made billionaires is insane. Now whatever kids Tom and Shiv have will just continue the cycle. What a wild ride

Enyinnaya Igwe

I miss Succession so much. There's no other show like it!

briana

Please watch The Expanse

A L

Top tier reaction series, now on to more peak. Mr. Robot is the only one good enough to replace Succession, IMO. Interview with a Vampire and SILO are great, but Mr. Robot is just on a different level.

Gwyn

I named 4 non anime shows. And I'll now include Breaking Bad aswell. 5

Conk

It's just like WWE... How the son in law , Triple H ended on top in the end (with HBK Shawn Michaels as WWE's Greg)

After 1 watch and 1 reaction watch it's still a good show, will I watch again fuck no... Now F**k Off lol

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

I might need to change my opinion on Succession being mid if you want to talk shit about BCS. Maybe Succession isn't that bad afterall

Conk

That shit was so boring of course it didn't win awards. Euphoria is better, zendaya is a queen

Danger Tomato

Do the gang know about the until dawn movie??

hyakimaru dono

He's out of line (I love succession) but he's right (Better Call Saul deserved so many awards)
