Re:Zero 3x15

idk how we wrap this up in one episode lol

Comments

Hope yall are watching the season 4 announcement that went up after the finale!

Friendly Elites

knew it lust voice is the goat yuki aoi Tanya the evil!!

Baren Nerab

yea how tf are they wrapping this up in the next episode... feels like it could be a 24 episode season, not 16 lol.

Dud3 itsj3ff

Reinhard can just ask for that Divine Protection and obtain it. Plus he's the strongest character in the verse so yes he pencil sketches everybody damn near

Psi47

bro they literally have a whole ep named Otto Suwen. S2 ep 15

LilYoha

Aw hell nah dog ass recommendation who gon' be watching that shit in 2025 lmaooo

WillGlacier

Btw, fun fact. If Subaru wasn’t the main character, Tappei (the author) says he would make Heinkel (Reinhard’s Dad) the next protagonist. Some very interesting answers…

Dbhe

im more curious of subaru can talk to al without the witch offing him or al lmfao

Steve

The sword that inflicts wounds that don't heal is actually just Theresia's divine protection. It would've been interesting if they could've gotten Theresia to cut Lust, but now that she's gone, that ability is gone with her. Reinhard could probably still pencil-sketch her though.

Chase Daly

I just looked Otto up, and I swear they have never said Otto's full name once in this show. I didn't even know he had a last name XD

Chase Daly

Honestly loving Lust too much she can't go yet.

Ayanda Mpofu

Who is Rem?

Guns

So anyone else picking up that Al is talking as if he’s dies multiple times

Nota-kun

They did avatar and young justice.

David J Forde Jr

Bruh that’s like asking them to watch Teen Titans, they probably grew up watching that smh

Jazko

I was NOT expecting Lye to use Rem’s memories, what a horrible way to touch back onto her.

Nico

Yeah I picked up on that. Al basically told us he has died multiple times

steviemoe

It's also just something that we're gonna have to deal with for the next several seasons because each Arc naturally flows into another so each season is just gonna leave us on a big cliffhanger for a while.

Friendly Elites

Bro you are in for a treat shit gets crazier and crazier

Fizzy

Your expecting way to much from them lol

Fizzy

Can you guys please consider watching Code LYOKO as a trio, its really an amazing anime show :)

Hussain

I’m surprised they haven’t clocked what Ai has been saying, he obviously has a unique version of return by death.

Ethan Galarza

That's my Reinhard. Perfect. I cant wait for Gluttony to get whooped cause he made me mad when he said Rem's name lol like I swear I'm in this show. Did this man eat his little brother's memories? cause we havent seen him in a while. I think he's the kid that idolized him around Subaru. Or did he kill him? Cause if he's alive and no one remembers him then where the heck is he? Omg this is crazy!!

Bona Fide

Oh man, the Archbishops are so interesting to me. Hope we get some sort of backstory for them or some sort of dive on their mindset.

Krype

iirc, Ana doesn't do magic

Ragnar Pendon

They might put it in the chibi version if they follow up on that

Wild

What did she do?

Big Daddy Dre

Can't wait to see Otto and Beatrice pack up gluttony.

Just Gene

I’m double checking that and I can’t find any info on him asking for it as well.

BZD

Idk. That’s what Roshi said at the beginning.

BZD

I actually never heard that anywhere. I know he can ask for certain ones but I never heard the author say that he asked for the divine protection of the sword saint.

Diggs

when it comes to the abilities, re:zero is very in-depth with it. almost to jjk's level, though re:zero isn't kind enough to outright tell you how an ability works in the same way the wiki would. main thing to keep in mind is that there are different kinds of combat in re:zero. Magic, spirits, (traditional) Weaponry, Authorities, Divine Protections, Transformations, Curses, Brute Strength, and a few other select abilities can all be used as methods of combat. Spirit arts are very closely tied with magic, but you can have a spirit without using magic and vice versa. Re:zero is the kinda story you appreciate a lot more upon rewatch, but because of that, it's also the kinda story you have to already have an ambition for. Which is why my advice to anyone interested in Re:zero is to ask themselves if they want an Isekai action-adventure, or a story about love, from the most healthy kind to the most horrid. because just like the title of the last episode of season 1, "That's all this story is about".

Orendi

Otto the goat

CentipedeKid

I did hear that they explained his ability in the LN BEFORE this episode (doubt they will ever explain it in the anime just like how they skipped the fact he is also reincarnated like suburu) but yeah he also has a "death" ability like suburu but it's different, won't spoil how tho in hopes that they do explain it

WillGlacier

Bro im ngl production committees need to get their priorities in order 😭 So sad to see them mass produce genuine slop, but deprio fantastic shows like ReZero because they take "too much money" to produce.

_monjiro

I often see Re:Zero as series with too many nuanced abilities but this clears things up a lot about the Sin Archbishop abilities so far (I am an anime only so I know I have a lot left to remember) and I really like to predict what is gonna happen and why it makes sense, but without fully understanding the villain’s ability and motives, I can’t do that. This really enhances the experience. I appreciate the insight!

Patsakorn Pariyapranee

Since Al is an Isekai'd guy like Subaru, he must have his own Return by Death. It makes sense based off dialog and it makes sense to not show us because he's not our Protag. He must've died a lot fighting Lust to the point of thinking of this trap which is cool if that's the case and assuming it works exactly like Subaru's or if it has different checkpoint logic.

Isaac

The craziest part of this episode is that I ACTUALLY forgot the merchant's name

Ragnar Pendon

In a sense yes, but its different; Mahito is able to shapeshift any living being by altering said living being's soul. Imagine the soul being the clay and Mahito can just mold it as he wishes as long as he makes physical contact. Capella seems to be able to mold even corpses judging from what was said in this episode, so it's abit a step above of what Mahito can do. I do not know the full extent of her being because she seems nigh invincible and yet against Carmilla she would lose. it makes Capella more interesting of who or what she is because of that.

Paunescu

To put it succinctly in terms of how they will wrap this up, Season 3 was originally planned to be a continuous, 38 episode season, but due to production issues they split it and are ending at 16, while rebranding the second half as Season 4, so I'm afraid that the ending we'll be getting next week won't be as conclusive as the other Arcs/seasons have been because it just isn't the end. I do believe all the fights will wrap up and we will at least start to get into the aftermath, but not all of it sadly. We're hoping to get an announcement about Season 4 and a possible release date this weekend at AnimeJapan ReZero stage.

Cancel

I don't think even Echidna's bodily fluids could help with what comes later

Friendly Elites

love reading these every week just gotta say

Fuji

Subaru really has shooters out here.

CentipedeKid

Don't gloss over what AL said about Anastasia being sus. she did something she should not be able to do. There is a reason why AL got sus after what he heard from felix

Pan Cakes

More non-spoiler fun facts and stuff! Here to yap a lot (i find it fun lmao) so if you wanna read more (a lot more), click read more! TL;DR at the bottom this time🗣 Anastasia Theory: Firstly I wanna say, Sheera cooked. That Anastasia theory at the end there was very well thought out, and it is exactly where the show is trying to lead viewers. So I will not say anything more regarding that🙏. Reinhard vs Capella!?!?!: However, the Reinhard vs Capella theory won't work for both known and unknown reasons (to anime only's- do not worry, still no spoilers). Firstly, Reinhard doesn't have the Divine Protection of The Reaper- Theresia has that. That being said, since she died for good now, the ability will become part of the DP pool again (by the way the DP of the Sword Saint we'll just say goes into a separate pool that only the Astrea family lineage can influence). Meaning that Reinhard can theoretically request it from Od Laguna (think of them, for now, as the DP dealer) and use it against Capella. Thing is, the effects of Authorities overpower the effects of DP's. Not only does this mean this proposed existence known as Od Laguna probably fucking hates authorities, but also that Capella would be able to heal through the divine protection of the reaper even if Reinhard had it. If Reinhard used his Sword, aka Reid, it might work. However, we don't know how it'd work. Firstly, it'd need to be unsheathed. We've only seen him do that twice- against Puck during Subaru's second trial in the sanctuary, and against Theresia, a former Sword Saint. In the former scenario, it was Puck in his Beast of the End form, prepared to destroy the world. it was a super climactic battle that ended in Reinhard destroying and recreating the Re:zero planet. Then, we have his fight with Theresia, where he killed her in one slash that quite honestly could've been done with a normal sword. So, why was it able to be unsheathed? And how do we know Reinhard can control the output? What if the sword believes Capella needs oh i dunno world destroying strength? All this being said, you wouldn't be wondering about this had the Capella fight ended more clearly. Because I'll break the ice- her turning into rats was her saying "aight dueces✌️" and not entertaining a fight any longer. She wasn't specifically running away from Reinhard, though it's possible she was, but we'll never know since Anastasia cut her off. Even if she was running from Reinhard, chances are, they'd still need Subaru's mind to finish her, not just Reinhard's strength. ***Not a fun fact, just complaining: Last thing I wanna say abt this topic- As a light novel reader, was THAT why Reinhard was matched up against Capella in the opening??? Ain't no way😭 Ferris Argyle: Ferris is the strongest healer in Lugunica, and probably the world as far as we know. His healing factor and aptitude for water magic is so advanced he's technically immortal, and able to constantly heal himself. That, alongside his distaste for Capella's toying with human life, her blood which disfigured and further cursed Crusch (alongside her amnesia), and her general personality/views on love is why Ferris is so personally enraged with Capella's existence. Roy Alphard: Roy eats differently from Lye. Roy eats any memories/names he can get his hands on, and only views fighting/combat as a means of getting food. If he knows the name, he has a meal. His eating is "Bizzare," or like "Binging" in that sense. Roy ate Joshua Juukulius' name and memories. Eating the name caused Julius and Ricardo to forget everything about Joshua, while eating the memories allowed Roy to mimic his identity to a T. Julius felt something was terribly wrong, because when someone so crucial to your life experiences simply vanishes from history, it leaves a spot in your memories that is unnatural and cannot be closed up as easily as some other scenarios. We met Joshua in episode 1 of this season, and it really comes full circle in showing us his importance in the context of the arc. He was passionate about his love for his brother, Julius, and at some point has his memories and name eaten by Roy. This means anything he's done, or heard, or experienced in his life, is all felt and absorbed by Roy. And this is how the Gluttonies indulge in all their victims: They learn a name, touch that person, and either lick their right hand, causing the person to lose their name (everyones memories of them), and/or their left hand, causing the person to lose their memories. Then, the Gluttonies indulge and experience everything that made that person's life, and sometimes use that person's memories as a guide for who to go for next. Leading to... Lye Batenkaitos: Lye eats differently in the sense that he plans out his meals. He wants the same satisfaction, but he gains it by prepping his pallette with only the most exquisite memories. He wants memories of people with fulfilled lives. He finds these people either through memories of others, or through battle. Like when he's testing Otto and everyone else. He already knows some names there and can very easily get his hands on them, but he needs everything to be perfect, like when you're getting comfy to enjoy a meal with youtube or something. Other times, like I said, He may use memories from someone else as a guide of who to go for next. Like Rem. He ate Rem's name and memories, causing Beatrice and Otto to not know her, but luckily enough for Otto, he never even got to meet Rem before her memories were eaten, which is why he wasn't targeted through her memories. Subaru, however, is. He called himself out by name during the speech as a bold yet risky move, Rem proudly shouted that he's a hero who'd rid the world of them, and after eating her memories, Lye really started to idolize subaru as a "hero" because to him, he really looks like someone. How Subaru, Betty, and everyone else looks through Rem's eyes, Lye can see in the same way. Lye believes Subaru might have the most fulfilling life possible, making him a target, but Betty and Otto are moreso thinking that Subaru would be crushed to see Lye imitating Rem using the memories of the people who knew her. Either way, everyone has their own reasons for hating Lye, even if they don't remember why. TL;DR: Reinhard doesn't have the DP of the Reaper, so he couldn't kill Capella using it. Even if he did, Authorities overpower DP's in the R0 world. Ferris is Capella's biggest hater (and atp the witch cults' biggest hater) due to his insane affinity and understanding of healing magic, his care for life, and his love for Crusch. Roy has Joshua's memories and the memories of interactions had with people who knew him within himself, due to his nature to want to indulge in everything indiscriminately. Lye has Rem's memories and name, and immediately used them to try and locate Subaru in order to satisfy his appetite for a fulfilling life.

Day 92 of recommending ‘Run with the Wind’ trio reaction

Kpop Tart

Bruh this nigga Al gotta have the same ability as Subaru. His dialogue is so weird “even if I die a hundred deaths I’m not sure I could ever defeat you”. “Dying hurts and it’s scary you know. Especially the first time”. “ I think I secretly got crushed about 3 times”. Maybe I’m tripping but why else would he talk like that if he’s not dying and coming back.

Lash

Man. I couldn’t remember what I wrote so I scrolled all the way through the comments to find this, just to realize you were joking!

BZD

Who?

Tre Staples

big translation fumble

Fuji

gluttony might be the biggest problem out of them all he is too much

Fuji

Roshi said that the author said that the reason Theresia lost her Divine Protection at the time was because Reinhard asked for it. I think Reinhard can ask for any divine protection and he gets it, but if it’s a unique one then he steals it from the original owner.

BZD

What do you mean by that? I’m curious

The Husein

Subaru’s main weakness is that it doesn’t come with a therapist.

BZD

So is it then similar to Mahito from JJK and his abilities?

Shiroja

Anime Japan is this weekend and Re:Zero is on the red stage so certainly the official announcement teaser trailer for season 4

Roxas 123

For Gluttony to work he just has to know the person's real name to eat their name/memories, so yeah learning someone's name through eating someone else's memories works. Bro has it way too easy because of the whole "honor" thing everyone does in this world and gives their full name without hesitation lmao

WaterYaDune

I mean, there is shit they couldn’t help but miss because of how inaccurate these subs are

A Guy

Wow, the subs for this episode were ass. Crunchyroll What the fuck are you doing?

A Guy

Gluttony is broken fr

D Nice

Well he was supposed to be revealed that he was an isekai during Arc 3 but the anime cut it because at that point the LN was only barely into Arc 6 and the producers didn't think it to be a detail direly important enough to include in the anime just like all the other cut content and they were wrong. Now the anime has to do the weird thing of building up his importance that the novel already did while also struggling to adapt all of the material. We're basically dealing with watching the Lord of the Rings theatrical cuts instead of the extended versions but without ever getting the extended versions. It sucks because Al is only supposed to be sublimely important at this point in the story but where the novels reached he's been a main character for the last third of the story.

Friendly Elites

This story is built on its many mysteries and foreshadowing, at a certain point it can be unfair to American viewers that we are fed false information if we decide to use the most popular streaming service to watch it. Essentially if you only speak English you are missing parts of the story, these translation issues are not present in the Spanish subtitles or BiliBili English subtitles. If you care about the world building then these things suck if your anime only, if oyur just here for the fights then yeah it doesn't matter, he could of said hadoken for all you care it wouldnt matter, just consume

MrOuijaII

No, trust me, I did not. I only confirmed that it's still a mystery, Al was confirmed as another Isekai victim back in Season 1, automatically making him stand out and be a wildcard, and I STILL would not have mentioned it if Roshi did not mention it himself in a reaction since it was revealed in one of the after episode shorts. Hidden identity + mentions of dying multiple times to beat an enemy to me and other reactors honestly screams 'Is that Subaru or someone with Subaru's ability' There is alot still hidden, I'm only talking about stuff thats already in plain sight in the anime.

MrOuijaII

It's not the same thing though, what Roy says actually directly translates to "Lunar Eclipse" not Eclipse and again thats important because Solar Eclipse is another aspect of their authority which does a different thing and it's also called out directly so if it were just translated as Eclipse again it'll be wrong and give anime viewers the wrong impression of their abilities. I wouldn't be calling it out here if it wasn't important but its actually an important thing for the Archbishops of Gluttony because using Solar Eclipse for them is practically the same as Regulus using Lion's Heart on his own heart or Subaru trying to tell someone about RBD. It's an important high-risk aspect of their powers.

Friendly Elites

Al's identity is one of the most important mysteries of the entire series, I doubt it'll get seriously answered until the final two volumes. But at this point in the narrative during Arc 5 you should be starting to get clued in that he's at least Reinhard and Subaru level important given his status and the implications of what he says both during the fight with Capella and about Typhon and Gluttony earlier in the arc.

Friendly Elites

It's still the samething, If that triggers you based on saying "eclipse" then you got some problems.

Wallet

Yeah Divine Protections are a strength and no weakness while Authorities are the ultimate strength with 1 glaring weakness. Greed had his heart, Sloth had to self-harm, Subaru can't control his RBD checkpoints, and Lust despite her control over flesh can't remove her dragon blood. So even the Death God blessing against her wouldn't matter because she can just make her body be as if she wasn't wounded at all.

Friendly Elites

So you basically just spoiled regardless....saying "oh dont worry its not even known in novels yet" is still spoiling to the fact that they wont know next season...thats still spoiling. it's like saying this X character is gonna be important later o!. Is spoiling about that X character whether is still alive or not later on.

Wallet

you expecting too much from the gang respectfully

JJ

hol' up guys let him cook this time

shadowfiend

But since there are two gluttony’s they would probably have to take out both to reverse it. Not to mention what is likely a third one, considering that whenever they said Rui, they actually said Rui-nee, which implies that she’s their sister. Though maybe not, since they were calling Julius brother.

BZD

I could think of at least 2 cliffhangers they could do tbh

Nikk

Hahaha

BZD

So the sword doesn’t make permanent wounds, also authorities trump divine protections, so Capella would still be able to heal even if Reinhard attacked her using the divine protection of the death god.

BZD

I need more Al speculation from the gang and watchers, that man has been isekai'd and alluded to himself dying multiple times by now, just like a certain protagonist we know. At this point in the story 'Is Al Subarau from the future?' is a perfectly reasonable thought to have lmao (Don't worry, these are not spoilers, and his identity is still a mystery in the LN)

MrOuijaII

Good catch with the "especially the first time" by Roshi. It's a misconception that Capella's ability is regeneration. This season she was able to reshape people's bodies including her own, which means her abilities are akin to transmutation and transfiguration. She isn't healing her wounds, she just reshapes them. Like the gang said i can't imagine Capella being defeated unless she is reduced to atoms by Reinhard. Altho, interesting part is that the author stated that if Capella were to fight against the previous witch of lust Carmilla from S2 witch party, Capella would lose but would be really close. it's interesting, given how Carmilla's abilities work.

Paunescu

Gluttony is so powerful that I forgot Joshua was even in the first episode of season 3.

Xenasta

The Authority of Gluttony works by touching someone and then saying their name before licking your hand, that’s how Lye or Roy “eats” someone and when they do they get that persons fighting techniques, skills, magic, and memories. “Eclipse” is them activating the stolen skills

Joshua Perry

Nah your right, the anime doesn't do as good of keeping track of everyone's hacks, just like no one can blame them for forgetting Otto can straight up commune with nature since it hasnt been used in like.. 20+ episodes until the water dragons appeared. Rein having so many doesn't help either.

MrOuijaII

Another reaction, another crumb of wisdom live from Eris Greyrat's goon cave of a brain. Never change, you disgusting freak lol

MrOuijaII

I say two legends can coexist at the same time. But yeah she is amazing. The whole exchange she had with Al was hilarious "Just do your devastating attack already!" and what feels like Al just genuinely confused and concerned for her that she doesn't understand death is scary and clarifying that to her is great xD

grimreapercz

Lupa I know that retwist is KICKING right now Head throbbing like shit

EnragedFliqpy

Take another 2 shots for the fucked up translations on this one gang. Roy directly calls out his attack as Lunar Eclipse but crunchyroll shortened it to Eclipse, this is a problem because Gluttony has both a Solar and Lunar Eclipse move that have different mechanics. Femboy is actually a pretty good localized translation for what Al says and its incredibly in-character for him to say it given his background so its a pass but CRs on thin ice. And lastly for this episode Mary = Meili, they messed up the name of the assassin from season 1 and 2 that controls Witchbeasts again this is a problem because she's a recurring character in future arcs.

Friendly Elites

The 'Cut you -> bleed -> never heals if you approach' was Theresias 'Divine protection of the Death god' ability, it was attached to her not any weapon and she's double dead. That's not a card they hold, unless Rein decides to open console again and put in more cheats

MrOuijaII

Oh. So that’s why they blame Reinhard.

BZD

I wonder if Capella’s pussy is changing all the time

Eris Greyrat

Man. Rem sure looks different.

BZD

We should get it pretty soon

Nikk

Im not sure but the "wounds that dont heal if you are close" is the Protection of the death god and that was Theresias divine protection, obviouly Reinhard could just get it but I don't think that was the swords power (could be wrong, but I think it was her protection)

Damaton

Beatrice really did a Thor from God of War and said "I say when we are done" to the title drop lmao

FianMoon

Saying every possible name at the end but not Rem's checks out

Damaton

I heard s4 is already in production so we most likely gonna get s4 sooner than s3.

Kevin Kovacs

The plan is to hold off until Felt gets back with a super powerful weapon that could even hurt a Reinhard-tier opponent.

fili0938

About to leave us on a cliffhanger for 4 years again 💀

SmittyWerbenjägermanjensen

This whole ass plan is so funny. "We just gottta hold off until reinhard gets here" Like poor reinhard man, got the viewer like "FINALLY" meanwhile this dude been to like 3 different tcorners of the city already xD

Ginger Dwarf

When it comes to the women antagonists in this show, i don't think anyone is beating my queen Echidna, but Capella is so close. Really compelling and just unabashedly evil, its great. "I guess no one told me not to play with corpses"

MrOuijaII

They will probably end it on a cliffhanger and end arc 5 in the beginning of season 4

Nikk

So we had quite a bit in this episode. The Al vs Capella finale. A few worrying things. Anastasia has been hinted to be hiding something for quite a while and now Al is saying Anastasia can't use magic. So how did she use a magic attack against Capella a few episodes ago? Why does Al say that dying your first time is scary? Most people ONLY die once. It's not something you experience more than one time. Most people. Capella also says a few interesting things. She suggested a few episodes ago that even she didn't know how to fix someone once they'd succumb to the dragon's blood. And worse than that, even if they take her out, the blood doesn't just suddenly go away. Which means Subaru and Crusch would still have to live with the consequences. Moving on to Lye and Roy. They are both absolute masters in combat because they can use the memories of people they've consumed. Julius is overwhelmed with emotion because Roy is speaking of memories he doesn't know of. Julius can't even remember his own little brother. Who apparently hates him. You'd think the opposite considering how highly Joshua spoke of him in the first episode of the season. Otto is very resourceful. He figured out the true nature of Lye's authority within minutes of speaking to him. Now Otto and Beatrice have to face against Lye who is imitating Rem. Beatrice saying that Subaru can't even meet Lye is fair. We see how much Julius and the others are affected by Gluttony's mind games and they couldn't even remember who they had lost. We saw how Subaru reacted to Roy(who wasn't even the right Gluttony). If he saw Lye impersonating Rem he 100% wouldn't be able to focus on fighting. That's why Otto and Beatrice want to shoulder his burden and spare him that pain

BTBAlways2000

"I hope they finally bring back Rem for season 3!" *Monkey paw intensifies*

MrOuijaII

So glad to see Beatrice after she’d basically been mia since episode 3

TChang23

Capella really be stealing the scenes and animation budget this season

grimreapercz

When you think about this...it's actually fucked up he doesn't know he had a brother cuz of gluttony so when they beat him he'll get his memories back and that's wild af not realizing you had a sibling
