I dont know if this is how it was supposed to come across, but it felt Kendall was obsessed with Connor not wanting to take off his coat because it made him feel like Connor didn't really want to be there, like he was ready to leave the whole time.

While Shiv wasn't hammering for Tom to go tom Prison, there was still a good possibility, and I believe she recognized that. I think that deep down it wouldn't have really mattered to her. Yes, she told her father not to throw Tom to the wolves, but then Tom later insisted on becoming the Christmas tree. I think that Shiv doesn't like being the one at fault. If her or any of her family had something to do with fucking over Tom, she would 've felt bad because she already fucked over Tom. But to be clear, there is a difference between actually caring and not wanting to be the bad guy, like there's a difference between feeling bad for doing something and feeling bad because you got caught.

He made it pretty clear to Tom, "You better make sure I don't get screwed on this, or I will take you down with me." He is shady as shit, but I think a lot of it is because he knows his extended family are all ruthless snakes, and he knows they all view him as a gullible dipshit, so he's trying to protect himself.
