So about the voice thing. Is it doable? Yes. Is it accurate? Not really. It is possible to roughly guess a person's height from their voice if you have the background knowledge on how vocal cords develop in males as they age, but the thing is there can be so much variation that it's more like a last resort and there is absolutely no guarantee you will get it right. So the answer is yes, but only under VERY specific circumstances. This is an anime, so they probably decided "fuck it, let's make those circumstances a reality."

So when Senku is giving his big story, he’s probably not speaking in a language Luna understands. She probably just heard Senku say Xeno a bunch and started to piece together that Senku knew Xeno. Anytime Senku is speaking to the crew, it’s a safe bet he is speaking in Japanese. I think only a handful including Gen, the reporter girl, and Ukyo speak English. Maybe Ryusui and maybe Francois.
