It starts off with him practicing using “smaller” words, but then it turns into him trying to force himself to be the good soldier and not feel any type of way about how he’s been treated, by Ms. Huang, his employees, the company, etc., just let go of his own childish folly (grudges/hurt feelings/indignities he’s quietly suffered through), and do his job like he’s supposed to. Be a cooperative cog in the machine. It’s like…soul killing. Relatable in so many ways. And such great acting by Milchick’s actor.

I feel like Helly purposely said the wrong name to see if she has a chance with Mark. She wanted to see his reaction and see if he was over her - clearly, he wasn't (though she doesn't know that). Mark must have put that magic on her - because now she's trying to date him IRL. As for Milthick, I feel that's right. I also think that he's kind of spazzing about that photo too, knowing its something that the company normally uses to sow division in other departments. It's like a back handed compliment type thing. A lot to think about this episode, one, why did Helena purposefully misremember Gemma's name. Two, and I might be reaching but, it seems that flashes from reintegration are random, but what if they aren't? When it happens, the outside world and the severed floor do tend to align physically, now this could just be for the sake of the visual storytelling, but maybe if one of them sees something that seems awfully familiar, such as a physical layout, it triggers flashes. Like when he sleeps with Helena and sees Gemma, his subconscious sees the connection so it begins to connect both sides. Also, I took one aspect of Milchick's arc at face value but what if the fact he uses elaborate words, and is reprimanded for them, also another thing to isolate him because of race. Every non-severed employee uses complicated, uncommon words in their speech, why is this an issue for him. Ya'll were joking when saying "talk like a n****" but what if that's how they really feel?? Granted this arose from, Ms. Huang's complaints, and so far he's been the only person dealing with her, but I don't believe that any of the board would tone down or simplify their language for her either way.

Yea I think the main thing with why Dylan's wife is starting to like his innie more is confidence. Dylan on the outside is very unsure of himself and doesn't feel like he knows his place in the world or what he wants. His innie self is full of confidence, has something he feels like he's good at, knows what he wants, and is always super upfront with how he feels. So, I feel like outie Dylan used to be like this and his wife gets reminded of the man she fell in love with when she sees innie Dylan. Also, I feel like innie Dylan is starting to understand more of his outies situation in life. His first reaction to hearing about his outie was "Oh so he's a loser", but this time it felt like he had a lot more sympathy for his outie.

He also, very noticeably, tries to make sure Irving knows that Fields mispoke. You would only do that if you wanted to make sure someone believes what you want them to believe. There's no way it's a coincidence that the deep voice Lumon guy showed up at Irving's place then, I'm CONVINCED Burt made these plans just so they could know for sure when his apartment is empty. I think you guys are right that Lumon knew Irving was digging into their company and made Burt a plant to monitor him and get his guard down.

just gonna throw this possible aspect about the Diner scene out there: Mark had a nosebleed and was tweaking from reintegration in front of Ms. Huang, who was already suspicious of the nosebleed. So I’m sure she reported it to someone after that encounter. Helena was sent (or was curious herself) to confirm if Mark’s showing signs of reintegration. Obviously she went there to see him again and attempt to stir up a connection—but she probably had a mission regardless. Hence why she made the comment about his appetite (a sign of reintegration like Reghabi said). The “Hanna” IMO was 100% intentional, basically a test, to trip him up and see his reaction. So while Irving was getting investigated by Drummond (+ lowkey Burt cause I don’t trust bro), Mark was getting investigated by Helena. But with the added bonus of banter & the most awkward rizz in the world. Fun fact: according to the actors, Helena was trying to emulate Helly in that scene (she failed 😭) But yeah anyway—Mark’s big back meal and coughing probably told her all she needs to know.
