Nah, the two guys that got captured are too real, because the guy who's married took away the hand that his boss had paper on, so he was giving himself up, but by not taking away a hand in response, the boss disqualified himself and forced his subordinate to win. Both were trying to save the other and that's really sad. Usually you expect to see a lot of rat-like behavior in these survival situations, so to see BOTH people try and give themselves up for one another is pretty messed up.

I enjoyed the ending because both things said to the other were kind of true. He did work to win, but things happened for him most of the time. He chose the game versus going live/being closer to his daughter for genuine reasons, but this was after living a life where the people closest to him suffered. The Recruiter took orders to get people to join the game, but he gave them a choice to play. In some ways, he had more power than the game master because he chose people who would make the game interesting, but he was still bound by the game/organization.
