2024-12-18 10:06:15 +0000 UTCThis is my theory on why the monsters don’t kill everybody when it seems like they can control the weather and make the ground/houses collapse.I think that there is a set of rules that both monsters and people have to abide by and if those rules are broken or bypassed then the opposite party has more options/things they are able to do. An example would be the situation at colony house where that guy opened the window and let the monsters in, so it would be in the monster’s favor. because of that the boy in white was able to help Victor and Julie escape. At least that’s what I think.

Maybe they are written that way to distract us from what role the characters play and what information they are finding out. Take Jade for example, when he was first introduced most people if not everyone thought he was a drug abusing asshole who only cared about himself. But he’s actually one of the only people in town looking for and getting answers. Same thing with Victor. He came off as a weirdo who kept talking to minors as soon as they were alone. In actuality he is just a kid trapped in a grown man’s body due to being trapped in the town.He is also the one with the most information on the town.

That scene in the cavern when that random stone ball toppled that jenga stack stone house, it may have happened the same time as the house crashing in on top of Jim. Also, in the beginning of the episode Jim is worried that pulling the debris out of the hole in the basement might make it collapse on itself, which is exact same scene he finds himself in at the end of the episode. These monsters are definitely fucking with these people and I'm so here for it.
