I meant in the sense that previous animes like DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, Pokemon etc. have always made their movie characters only exclusive to their respective movies. Now, idk if the trio remembered them or at least watched the previous movies because they never mentioned "oh those characters were from the movies", so that makes me wonder if they to them weren't significant enough to remember them by? Even if she used Double, they would all still be Jin-Toga's and not purely Jin since she's Doubling herself and not Jin. Since Double requires you to know the person current state to replicate, trying to replicate Twice when dead is kinda pointless. Remember when Toga was bleeding out in S5 and Twice made a Double that was beat up instead of a perfectly healthy one? I think that's part of how the Quirk works, it takes the current state of thing and doubles it.

Those are connected to AFO's actual quirk, so he keeps them as long as he stays at an age where he always had the AFO quirk. All Might is quirkless and has nothing for Rewind to work with as OFA was never technically his and has already moved on to Deku. Unlike Mirio, who simply needed to be rewinded to having a quirk again.

Eri can't restore a stolen quirk. If she could they would have had her restore Search for the Pussycat woman. Hawks himself said, in this episode, that quirks are treated as external to Rewind once AFO has them. Mirio's was suppressed in his body, not gone to someone else.

Like, on its face, Rewind seems like it should be OP. But Horikoshi established early on that EVERY Quirk has a physical attribute, limit and cost, even the busted ones. Eri can't spam it, can barely chooses how it rewinds or what it targets. And Quirks are VERY difficult to target directly, that's why the Garaki spent over 75 years learning and studying how to extract them. 😅

I think you're misunderstanding how these Quirks work. Rewind isn't a Quirk he's using, but a Quirk he's affected by, like how the bullets affected Mirio. He doesn't actually have Rewind, but Hawks' Quirk has a vestige, meaning it exists somewhere in AFO. You can't Rewind the Quirk back into Hawks since AFO took the DNA markers that create the Quirk Cellsl you'd develop, which is why it's a type of permanent cell/soul damage. In a way, yes, AFO is stronger than Rewind but in the sense that the Quirks he steals actively exists in the "present" and therefore cannot be found "in the past". It's similar to how Allmight's vestige is affected real time by the piece in OFA despite distance. His present vestige is actively affected by his physical well-being.

I don't think that is the kind of show Horikoshi is writing. I can almost guarantee he has written it later down in the story so that they can't just use Eri like that. This is a war, sacrifices must be made. I don't see him killing off main characters like Bakugo for example but I do think he'll keep all the major injuries and stolen quirks.

Interestingly enough, I love the fact that the movie exclusive characters actually appear in this episode, like one can say they're kind of now canon to the anime now! This be coming from someone who recently watched the movies earlier twice last/this year (first time in Japanese and first time in English dubs), enough to cement them into my mind. Also, it's great to see that some of the characters that only appeared once also make an appearance, like that Sludge Villain that tried to take over Bakugo or that reporter w/ the weird fingers, show up, meaning that Horikoshi never forgot about them and utilized them for later on...! I was tripping out that AFO's voice became younger each time the youth serum(?) is in effect...

I think her character is actually super interesting, and it would have been some interesting world building to see more of it. It's not the same thing, though. AFO stole the very Quirk Factor itself, the DNA strand that makes Quirk Cells goes missing. It's a form of permanent tampering at a genetic level Meanwhile, the bullet only "rewinded" Lemillion to a state where the human body couldn't grow Quirk Cells, so the rewind from Eri just "rewinded until a time before his body was modified". But I get why Eri is the go to, offhand lol
