For example Sera from Detective Conan, Seishiro from Nisekoi, Naoto from persona, Yukimura from Haganai, anytime a male character has some kind of flirty interactions with the MC it's usually actually a female.

2024-09-02 19:52:38 +0000 UTCEither someone said it in the last episode comments here or on the site I watch this anime on when it aired, but a theory is that Rosty is a modified ice clone created by Elfaria. They think that during the tournament when she was out of it she was controlling, or at least, looking though Rosty's eyes. That's how she knew what Will said about their past and why Rosty had the look on his face. Elfaria couldn't have made a female clone because males and females don't live together and she wanted to be near Will. It was also brought up how Rosty Nowman or Rosti Nauman (depending on the translation) is basically Frosty Snowman and ice is Elfaria's element. Edit: After posting this and refreshing I see that two people beat me to the punch.

Won't c/p the essay but the TLDR; is that all signs point to Rosti being an ice clone of Elfi that she uses to keep Will company (unbeknownst to him). Current -theory- is that it's a male clone so that they can be roommates, likely gender split living at the school. In this episode Rosti says that no one loves Will more than him, and that Will loves him more than anyone. Only one way that can be true.
