I really don’t mind the slow pace of plot because each episode help us viewers connect emotionally more to these character and learn their motivations for being in the dungeon. Plus all the stuff they encounter will become relevant to the story at some point.

Why is Roshi hanging on to this show? I personally enjoyed this, went so far as to follow manga fanlations, even looked up the mangaka. But Lupa looked bored AF, so did Sheera at times. I mean, if you don't like it, then just go for a different show. People are leaving recommendations all the time... Plotwise, more things happen, but the tone remains the same. There is an over-arching plot, but there are lots of standalone stories. I just hope you guys eventually latch on to this, or just drop it for good.

Doesn't matter his age, he's shota adjacent to the point where its played as a passing joke this episode. I mean Frieren is a loli adjacent character by design. Sure she's way older than everyone but by design she's a loli and they even pointed that out with Preist homie having zero interest in her romantically because to him she looks like a little girl. Although if you ask me she just looks like a petite young woman, but the anime design makes it hard to tell. Same logic applies to Chilchuck and his entire race.

stories from previous episodes will tie together to mean something but, I think with it's almost episodic nature you have to just take it as really cool concepts used to push the story forward. It's not as episodic as something like cowboy bebop but is still kinda like that. Yeah I'd like to see something like that as a full on plot point in an anime but I guess when I was binging this I was in the flow of it's pacing so I just finished the episode like "Holy shit that was such a cool and unique idea, can't wait for the next one" cos the show is full of them

Lol if I remember their ages correctly. Senshi is over 110+ years old. Marcelle is around 50 years old. ( So she's pretty young since a lot of fantasy anime always have elves have tremendously long life spans like in Frieren ) Chilchuck is 29; Always gotta have the shota/loli race, right? He's also considered pretty tall for his race too. He's also pretty old too because Half-foot's lifespans are not long ( they die up to their late 40s to 50s ). and babygirl Laios is like 26ish? Which is why he called Chilchuck "mister" there as a joke which kinda flew over your heads. So Laios is legit the "kid" of their group compared to their lifespans and he sorta does act like an over curious child they have to keep on a leash while ironically being their party leader. lol

One thing you gotta realize when watching Dungeon Meshi is that there's technically .. 2 short episodes in 1 episode ( like spongebob's a and b 11minute episodes format being considered 1 entire 22min episode) . Like the first half of the episode was about those living paintings, then out of nowhere it's suddenly about Chillchuck. The only other full length episode was the Living Armor episode focused just on that situation. I believe episodes 11 and 12 are when the show begins to due away with that format. I'm not sure since it's been a minute since I watched.
