this is one of the most unhinged episodes of a series I've seen in a while. On that note, that single-shot fight scene in the house was indeed impressive from a cinematic perspective. Imagine how many things they had to get just right in order to not ruin the scene in the middle.

I think there was a a lot of psychological aspects to this. We're seeing Barry come to an understanding of Fuches and the truth of what their relationship is. The ridiculous charade with the kid and and her father act as a tool for us to see Fuche's apathy towards Barry and the things he asks him to do. It being ridiculous and funny are also a plus.

Despite the absolute chaotic clown shoes this episode, I can’t help but feel bad for Barry. He tells Fuches he’s dying and the guy just blows past it and doesn’t seem to give a serious shit. So he tries to tell Loach he’s dying and the guy clearly doesn’t give a fuck. He can’t tell Sally anything for obvious reasons. Barry is so inherently alone man, and yeah, he’s a ‘bad guy’, but it’s almost like he didn’t have a choice. As the visions showed, he had absolutely no one waiting for him after the madness of war except for the proverbial devil in Fuches. Damn, this show does storytelling so well.
