The "washing her hair to show the tiger stripes signaling her character growth and that she is still on her peak form even after all this time" answer sounds cooler cuz it's deeper, but yours are also correct

Putting those hints together it translates to "Call/Contact me when you're ready." Sodachi doesn't just vanish without a trace. She leaves him her contact.

2023-10-20 15:22:29 +0000 UTCExplaination for the weird confusing hair scene: Ougi kept insulting Hanekawa that she's grown weak and isn't as much of a genius as she used to be. To disprove this, Hanekawa washed the dye out of her hair to show that she HAS changed (the white hair representing her character development, as established back in Nekomonogatari Shiro), but that her status as someone very intelligent HASN'T changed because she's still smart enough to solve the horrifyingly dark mystery within 10 seconds. TL;DR - Essentially, Hanekawa was proving that even though she's changed, she hasn't become weak.

2023-10-20 09:42:52 +0000 UTCI'm gonna drop some explanation here, I'm pretty sure its not spoilers or anything like that, just stuff that may of been more clear if you guys knew the timeline of the show and had notes. In a conversation with Nadeko, Ougi said herself she was looking for Hachikuji but couldn't find her, that was after Hachikuji passed on during the darkness arc, which is why she couldn't find her. Also back in the arc with Nadeko before she went full snake god, Ougi seemed to have some part in Nadeko becoming a god. The scene at the end of this episode takes place right before Ougi goes to talk to Nadeko, as seen by the scenery. The timeline for this show is real confusing unless you write down the dates of the arcs, which are usually shown on the first ep of the arc. You guys already enough on your plates with all the other shows to worry about all the smalls details of this show so don't worry about keeping track of everything.

2023-10-20 05:50:51 +0000 UTCHanekawa and Araragi are third years, Third Year Highschoolers in Japan can generally choose to be absent regularly because they're meant to be focusing on studying for University entrance exams so prep schools like Naoetsu High don't mind if you take time off as long as fulfill a quota of attendances. Since Hanekawa isn't planning to go to university right away she can kinda do what she wants with that time.

2023-10-20 05:16:07 +0000 UTCWe know what was in the envelope, I'm gonna paste this comment talking about it: Regarding Sodachi's letter, there was a Chinese article back then that discovered what was in it. It's a bit of a long process but you'd need the actual physical light novel to solve it, Senjou's texts are the puzzle, and it relates to the positioning of the Kanjis and shit. You have to read it sideways too. Long story short, the puzzle, when solved, becomes "Youishite yobe", which roughly translates to "Call/contact/invite when you're ready". Hitagi's weird texts is telling Koyomi to contact Sodachi when he feels ready.
