Doesn't make sense from a narrative arc standpoint. No reason to have her do it then just quit like nothing happened, would be a really weird fakeout. The show does do misdirects but almost always as a twist that shit gets worse than expected, like Kev's death and Lorena getting popped by Oso (I was pretty sure it was just a warning shot or something). Also possible Kev was smoking that shit off-screen but that's really just pointless conjecture and they didn't really show any hints he was a crackhead. Doubt she goes full Wanda though, but definitely gonna spiral.
