Team Yui!!!!

Luhbabytay

I’m pretty sure they alr reacted to you lie in April I remember seeing a video on YouTube

Saucy Jonathan

Your lie in april is great . They need to see it

Daniel NT

Episode 12 is really, really funny , totally worth reacting to.

James Bernald

it's based on his mood and not on whether he is acting genuinely or not. Good mood, Max, bad mood, black coffee

Lukas

Please watch Your Lie in April /Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso next.

Digiflash

that should be a trio show

Rebel Gamester

MAdoka Magica plzzzzzzzz

Davido

someone said it before but the ancient magus bride would be a nice duo series

blue snivy

Cmon let's get an adult mystery anime and take a break from the romcom stuff

Danger Tomato

"Deeper than it actually is?" I mean I guess you can say that, but you could say that about Pride and Prejudice, which does same thing, namely taking a simple concept and tells the story in a way that's unexpected. And that's likely why there's countless essays and character analysis.

Anthony Purington

A lot of the confusion is also probably lost in translation.

Anthony Purington

HORIMIYA!!!!

I'm so mad no one have noticed a tiny detail throughout the entire series. Hachiman craves things to be genuine so himself tries to be genuine. On every episode he drinks coffee, whenever he makes genuine decisions or plans something that he thinks is the right thing he drinks the yellow coffee. When he tries to be fake, or do things differently he drinks the blue one the bitter coffee. Not on purpose but they put that as a visualization thing for the viewer. I caught it on the second season by the end, I used to always ask why tf does he drink so much coffee

KingdorismHD

your lie in april has to be next rightt

Kurumi

let me make it more clear INTENTIONALLY vague writing is good. if you are Vague on accident then it can work out but it can also end up being a confused mess. Oregairu is by no means accidentially vague. Watari drops too many subtle hints all throughout the story to think that he didn't know what he was doing. Really, Oregairu isn't even all that complicated. A lot of the time the story states it's meanings literally but since it might happen in scenes that aren't obviously connected with the main story it gets lost because people aren't "trained" to look for that. In essence, Oregairu's plot is simply Hachiman's and Yukino's character development, i.e., their personal growth, and personal growth is somewhat non-linear and messy so that is how the story often presents itself.

Lukas

Please react to Your lie in April or Golden Time I promise you won't be disappointed

Akolade Babatunde

Yes please i hope they react to it

Akolade Babatunde

Nah I agree with you. I really enjoy the show, but the fandom isn't for me

Chris Hee

Oregairu fans are mega crazy. I like it, but it's not that deep. Writing makes simple concepts look complicated just for the sake of it

Egrassa

This anime is subtext taken to an absurd extreme and the situations our characters find themselves in aren't that interesting, leading to the feeling of meh, I think if the stakes were a bit higher the codependency talk wouldn't seem odd.

Terry King Jr

I don't think vague writing is necessarily bad, but it's also not necessarily good writing. The whole shounen thing is just different appeal, there's no need to be condescending about different types of shows. Soemtimes you wanna kick back and enjoy something for what it is, instead of essentially having to do homework and read threads to see if people's answers match your own. Like they say, there's beauty in simplicity and oregairu just tends to be so unnecessarily complicated for what is a pretty simple narrative once you do understand it

Rebel Gamester

I just think the show likes to pretend like it's deeper than it actually is, the countless essays and debates over characters seems more to me like a result of vague writing rather than the show being good. They damn near made the audience make the show themselves

Rebel Gamester

People coming up with different interpretations for the same things is not bad writing. if anything, it's good writing. It means that things aren't spoon-fed to the audience. But action, hype, brainrot shounen has ruined that. What is particularly funny about this is that the two interpretations you read weren't contradictory. They fit together like puzzle pieces. What does not being able to get drunk mean? not being able to let your feelings guide you. Why can't they let their feelings guide them? because the are overly skeptical and see hidden motives behind everything people say and do, even if there aren't any so they are always on their guard. One is the explanation for what it means and the other the explanation for why they are that way. also: when reading the light novel it is extremely obvious that Wataru Watari knows exactly what he is doing and what he means but he leaves enough holes for people to speculate and draw their own conclusions (it's a bit like Dark Souls Lore in that sense). If it came across as the writers themselves not knowing what the things they write mean then that is wholly the fault of the adaptation.

Lukas

flirting in front of her mom. bold move Hachiman

Lukas

Oregairu is honestly not that confusing. some of it is the fault of the adaptation but a lot is also just because conflicts and solutions aren't ordered in a simple line. And maybe more importantly: Oregairu want's you to pay attention to scenes that are seemingly unrelated because they hold foreshadowing and hints about stuff going on in the main plot. The most obvious example is Komachi giving Hachiman a choice between two bowls of Hotpot which leads to him coming up with the bait prom plan (If people are given options, they will think they have to choose between them. that is a real psychological phenomenon). a more obscure example is episode 2x9 where Hachiman tells Komachi that he is having an "identity crisis" and later Hachiman has a conversation with Yukino where she says that Hachiman and Haruno both have something that she doesn't. Hachiman asks her if she also wants to have that and Yukino says she wants something different. With all the foreshadowing and clues that happen later (Like Haruno asking Yukino if she even has a real "self") it becomes exceedingly obvious that Yukino is talking about about having an identity but other shows don't teach you to look out for that stuff and even apply it retroactively so you miss stuff like that easily.

Lukas

This and the Eminence in Shadow are direct opposites haha. Eminence was too simple to analyse deeply, and Oregairu is too confusing (but being a teenager is confusing, so the vibes are relatable I suppose?) haha

Chris Hee

Roshi got Yuis wish pretty dead on. She wanted to be a couple with hachiman and still be friends with Yukino. But that wasn’t gonna happen cuz Yukino 100% wouldn’t want to be around them if he was dating yui cuz that would just hurt her to see him with her. And since the club ended then Yukino would have no reason to hang with yui or hachiman. So Hachiman finally decided to follow his actual feelings and not only confess to Yukino but to also propose to her at the same time. So this way Atleast him and Yukino have a real genuine something now wich is what Hachiman wanted all along.

Diego

Finally this show is over or almost over! Horimiya gang or Wotakoi

Alex cleveland

Devin B

Golden time or golden kamuy next 😤

lyssa

dam i was waiting for yui to be in the background not gonna lie lmao. she always show up somehow.

KeYo

Tears were shed this episode. Team Yui never dies

mitch anderson

All theses essays and analysis of characters. I mean there is literal analysis for every character including hayama and the teacher even. Especially Hachiman being the only romance Mc with such indepth writing is why Oregairu is the best romance/drama. Sure things get confusing and you can say its overly dramatic at times. But this anime took a different approach at romance. A darker more serious route to try to explore characters that can't communicate and have problems. Honestly unlike your average romcom that is jus an idiotic Mc with the same stupid love tropes. Sure it is enjoyable and fun to watch, but this anime gave a fresh look into a different way to write and do romance. Oregairu is king and only love is war and Clannad compete with it. What a ride, Can't wait for the finale.

Arturo1629

wait what if it means he cant get drunk drunk? or was it some type of metaphor? lol

KeYo

Baccano is the better series written by the same guy. Prefer that over Durarara

Sun

Durarara is supergood i gotta agree. I'm kinda interested in the next Monogatari

Greg Harrison

Your Lie In April, PLEASE

ShaquanVirse

you guys need to watch fruits basket

emma

I honestly think they would love Durarara. It's hands down top 3 storytelling with minimal fights

Darrell Jones

Have they seen your lie in april? That was a banger series and OST.

Panda

I’m sick of that series fr they can’t go 3 eps without taking a hiatus 😭

Imari

Wouldn't it be the monogatari series first since this was the replacement?

SmittyWerbenjägermanjensen

fruits basket!!

Suga Mak

They dropped the ball on this one tbh. At around 25:45 they should've had Yukinon kill Hikki then and there when she said that, and Yui would've watched from underneath the bridge. Then we could've had a 🔥🔥🔥 revenge season 4 arc with Yui vs Yuki. Shit would've been gas no? No one would've expected it

danial javady

Bojack horseman next?

Imari

PEAK BASKET NEXT

MAS•

do you plan on watching danmachi?

danial javady

Feels like every episode the morale for this series is waning 😭
