My biggest issue with this season is there's never a sense of urgency. why were they walking when they should've been running.

Like Roshi said they suck π. Edit: Especially Jotaro, this guyβs supposed to be the most experienced in the group but still sucked

2020-07-18 01:00:23 +0000 UTCside note but we see a number of stand users control the strength (power emitted) and effectiveness (controlling the range of their ability's impact) of their stand. esp bc it's linked to their life energy (magicians red, oasis, etc)?? ofc there are counterexamples where a power is just "on or off" e.g CREAM, aerosmith, etc

The only other explanation I could think of would be they can control the effectiveness of the stand which would have to be the case because 90% of the time when they use their stands especially in this part the situation always changes something different. I don't really want to make that assumption since it was never explained but it feels like it I guess another name for that would be a retcon, plot convience, or asspull

2020-07-17 15:04:40 +0000 UTCif it helps you visualize it, think about this: in the josuke vs okuyasu fight, what if okuyasu only erased the top corner/tip of the sign instead of erasing the middle section from top to bottom? would anything "fill in the gap"?

2020-07-17 11:19:14 +0000 UTCI think that there are probably limits to the hand. if he erased part of the earth, would the ground nearby just move to "fill in the hole" or would that shift the entire town of morioh just a tiny bit since it's one singular object of land? I think it makes sense for something like the sign in the josuke vs Okuyasu that is one singular object of normal size to "zip back together" but not the earth since it's one huge solid object and he only erased a tiny fraction of it

It would NOT have been enjoyable if Jotaro was able to just Za Warudo his way through everything, and the new characters didn't get a chance to show their stuff. The little time it can stop is only useful in certain situations, so it would be a waste for him to use it all the time. Imo that's a good thing for the sake of the development of other characters.

Jotaro mentions that he was only able to stop time for half of a second during his fight with Josuke.
