It was the third day of their mission and Rick found himself clashing with another demonic beast that was unfortunate enough to cross paths with his party.

"Huff... Hugghff... Hugghh..."

 The young boy breathed loudly while supporting his body on his bloodied spear.

His clothes were destroyed, and his body was marred with cuts and fresh wounds. A few meters from him was the now-dead demonic beast. It was a grotesque monster with a massive body akin to a monkey of some sort. Its sharp nails had been the part that dealt the most damage to Rick.

Nevertheless, a lucky strike of the spear through its neck sealed the fate of the beast.

 Clap Clap

 "You have outdone yourself this time brat.. haha.."

Greg walked over and after a pat on his shoulder, sidesteped the boy to capture the demonic soul hovering over the dead beast.

"Although the grade is very poor... it's definitely worth something." He remarked, sealing the soul into a glass bottle and putting it back into his ring.

"I told you the boy was special.."

 Marsh agreed with his captain.

" I could barely even fend off the hogs hehe.."

Another man commended the boy's efforts. Just like him, people kept discussing his feats as a teenager.

 Yet, each one of them failed to notice another aspect of the kid that was even more terrifying. And that was the out-of-this-world healing abilities Rick displayed.

"It's all thanks to Mrs. Jane's training."

Eliza didn't forget to involve the stern-faced aloof woman. She shook her head in return.

 "You might not believe me. But my inputs have been minimal in all this."

 Jane kept staring at the exhausted kid kneeling on one of his legs.

"It always makes me wonder how much potential he is wasting because of his nature towards women."

Eliza can understand what the lady wanted to convey. She hid her face to chuckle for a bit before nodding her head.

"Get up. We don't have the full day hmph.."

Jane walked past Rick, leading the way. Greg and his men took a rueful glance towards the boy before following behind her. If Rick had had any doubts yesterday, then today he was certain that this woman was purposefully making life difficult for him.

Looking at his bruised body he can only smile wryly. Those slaps did prove quite costly after all.

'huh.. tonight I must have my revenge.. no matter how..'

Suddenly, someone rubbed beside his body.

 "Hop on. You can rest for a while."

Tom remained at ease. He had personally seen Bella put under a lot of stress by his nephew. Yet, she handled it like a champ.

"Do you want me to leave the house?"

 "No need... you can stay where you are. I will help myself with her."
