Ballet class: "The Centre"
Added 2019-07-16 18:51:48 +0000 UTCTwo exercises from the centre portion of ballet class, "Tendu" (which you might remember from "The Barre"), and a waltz/pirouette, which is one of my very favorites in an entire class.
And indeed, that is me saying "Yes!" when I land my double pirouette. It's funny to see the faces I make when I'm concentrating. I'm actually learning a lot through this project and seeing many things I can improve upon in my performance.
There was this girl in class when I was a teenager who always stuck out her tongue when she was concentrating (or wait...was that me?). In any case, one of the biggest challenges for a burgeoning ballerina is to wipe all expressions from one's face but those of absolute joy and enjoyment.
However, I think you can tell I'm having fun.
Keep an eye out for the next video, which will be my first peek "behind the scenes" of filming with Nefeli. There will be anecdotes from the past, waxing verbose on dance philosophy, and other various insights into what goes into making these little bits of art for all of you. (If you aren't in a "behind the scenes" tier, I highly recommend you switch soon! These videos are going to be really nifty.)
