Happy Unbirthday.
This video made me want to offer you a hug. And that was just the first half.
Could certainly fool me that you''re not good at makeup.
I do enjoy fire in videos yes, but don't strain yourself for it :)
I hope your trip is excellent, and don't fret too much over videos. But some travelling ones would be awesome if situations allow :)
Take care, have a happy Christmas and a Merry New Year :D

Coincidentally i was learning about proper light setup last week because I wanted to get back to making music as a side hobby, but I was very frustrated with how amateur the video recordings turned out to be, but after a lot of research afterwards i have these tips to share with you..
So apparently there's supposed to be three different light sources, coming from three different positions.. first one is "key light" which is the main light, and that's supposed to be placed in front of you, but at a 45 degree angle to your right or left, and also placed higher up than you, pointing down at you.. This lights up one side of your face and creates a shadow on the other side of your face which already gives more depth and more of a 3D look instead of a flat 2D face..
Then there's the "shadow light" which is again placed in front of you, at a 45 degree angle, but on the other side, and that's to light up the shadow side of your face, but still allowing you to keep a contrast between the two sides and therefore maintain that sense of depth.
Then the "rim light" which is directly above you (which can just be your ceiling light, and that focuses some light on the head, making like a "border" around your face, creating further separation from the background, making you look more even more three dimensional.. But yeah with that 45 degree set up, you have more control over your background brightness/darkness as well
Also another tip is to get a diffuser, something to soften the light, so you can even put a cut out of a white shower curtain over your light, and that makes it less harsh and gives less harsh shadows, or you can use wax paper or whatever.. Play around with all those variables and you'll be surprised at the difference
